As someone who uses this app primarily on an iPad Pro with the magic keyboard attached in landscape mode. This app appears to be locked to portrait, which makes it a real pain to use sometimes. The idea and the execution is otherwise fantastic. Would love to this addressed in a future update

Lots of potential to be a great NPC creation tool for DM’s but it’s in dire need of more characters. The cost of getting new packs is expensive (£2.99) and half the packs aren’t even finished with only 4 or 5 portraits complete. That said it’s a handy tool and I’ll continue using it, would just like it to be worked on!

Great little app, bought 2 of the packs may pick up more in future… definitely need some dwarves. I have 2 issues that are holding me back: 1). The initial pack could be more racially diverse, it’s make sense to give a broad range of races but limited to 1 or 2 of each gender 2). The legends are overly repetitive, I expected to unlock more than just photos with each purchase. A little disappointed I didn’t get some halftime customised legends when I bought that pack. Each race has a unique heritage & that isn’t really being reflected currently. Other than that, for generating random talking NPCs it’s great. I have another generator I use for more detailed ones with Stats, Actions & Features for 5e… if you could integrate stuff like that into this app it would be perfect.

Excellent app design and great artwork. Such a shame the characters do not have more depth. Things that in my opinion are missing are mannerisms, general description of statistics, talents, flaws, specific traits...

Love this app, really handy for making NPCs, and also for having a visual reference. You can either make random ones, or spend a bit more time fine tuning your own creations. One request would be to add more character images at some point, but there are plenty in there to last a long time anyway. Well worth the money as you will use it most sessions.

I love using this tool before a game to come up with ~50 or so quick npcs that I can pick out for any given moment. I sort all of them into different areas through tags so I can filter through them which works great Except... what I find really time consuming is having to go to saved characters after every NPC I hire and having to edit them, pick a tag and then click save which I could forget and i “lose” that character bc I haven’t tagged them to the ‘tavern’ for example. NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: Please please please add an option to hire an NPC under a tag from the random NPC screen so you can make the process of collecting npcs 5 times faster!!!

Need a random npc off the cuff? This app is damn near perfect. Intuitive and simple to use with full customisation of the details, even on pre-generated characters. I love how you can randomly generate someone, then go back over and edit/tweak to suit your needs, simply brilliant! My one suggestion for improvement (and it's a big one) would be not only to vastly increase the number of character portraits for humans as well as other races (in app purchase packs no doubt), but to also have the option to import our own images. This would give unlimited customisation options. I can't wait to see how this app further develops, and look forward to purchasing any updates when they are released. Great value for money.

As a brand new D&D player AND a brand new DM, this app has been invaluable to my character creation. I have been able to make a couple dozen NPCs for my starting town already, and I swear I could do this all day. I ended up buying all the character packs. They’re so reasonably priced and add so much to this! The only thing I would prefer is maybe more details like race for each NPC, or basic stats you could randomly roll for and add. And a landscape orientation! I like using my iPad, and it’s weird for me to put it in portrait mode and use my keyboard at the same time. But none of these are complaints, just suggestions. This is a great app to have!!
