Do you get unwanted calls or text messages from phone numbers similar to your own? With Number Shield, block an entire group of numbers at once. Just enter a wildcard for each digit you want to block.
For example, if your number is 714-555-1234, scammers might use a number like 714-555-6789. Block all similar numbers by entering 714-555-####. Wildcards and numbers can be combined in any order you choose. Block international numbers, too!
To make sure you don't miss calls from your family and friends, phone numbers in your contacts are always allowed.
Block numbers directly from your phone's missed calls screen. Just follow these steps:
1. Tap the “ i ” button next to the missed call.
2. Tap “Share Contact”.
3. Tap “Block Similar Numbers”. (If you don't see this action, tap “Edit Actions...“ to enable it.)
4. Now you'll see the Number Shield number entry screen. Tap “Done” to block calls from similar numbers.
Please note:
• Each number pattern can contain up to 7 wildcards, and up to 50,000,000 phone numbers can be blocked.
• Blocked calls are sent directly to voice mail.
• Blocked text messages are sent to the “Junk” filter in the Messages app.
• iMessage messages are not blocked.
• When “Do Not Disturb” is enabled on your phone, calls that should be blocked may appear in your phone's list of missed calls.

Great. Ten minutes of setting up and the scammers are gone with the wind. Maybe you could add recent call analyzer for detecting patterns, if that is something you have access to
Lacks description
Please implement a functionality to add description to blocked numbers and patterns so I am able to distinguish who and why I blocked

Impressive. Actually delivers!
I’ve tried a number of call blocking apps because of spam calls from autodialers. My expectations were low at the start, but it ended up actually working. Totally worth the cost of the app. Well done, would recommend.
Works but limited
Works as advertised. Only problem is it’s limited in how many people can be blocked. While 50 million numbers seems like a lot, in reality that’s a whole 5 area codes. I have no need to be contacted by people in most provinces so I’d like to block all their area codes. But some provinces have multiple area codes. Some cities have multiple area codes. I saw the developer mention it’s an iOS restriction. I was unable to find the restriction in the developer portal? Further there are similar apps I won’t name that allow wildcard blocking. However unlike numbershield those apps don’t support sms blocking which is where a lot of my issues are coming from (spam texts)
Does not work
App only blocks 7 wildcards and will not let be block all numbers from the UK. I have tried contacting support to ask for help and I never get a response. Waste of money.
An error occurred everytime.
Tried to contact support and never get back. Wasted money. Don’t get. Everytime when I add numbers they will take forever to get to 80-90% ish and then tells me there’s an error try again. Tried so many times doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money.
Need more wild cards
Been getting a lot of scammer calls from China and this app does not have enough wild cards to match their patterns. Can you please add more? Thank you!
Blocks spam calls by pattern
This is just what I needed! Most spam calls spoof my number prefix. Too bad Apple did not add this filtering so this app does the job perfectly
