Overcast

You can’t swipe down from the info screen to go back to the list of podcasts. The sleep timer is less intuitive than before. You can’t swipe to access speed/voice boost controls anymore, it’s a small button. Feels like Marco changed the UI just for the sake of it, it’s not faster or better.

Easy to use, to organize my podcasts, easy to control settings, easy to find podcasts, easy to search all episodes easy to do everything I need on a podcast app.

Been using Overcast for years. I’ve tried to switch to Apple Podcasts and Spotify but they never have the features I want. Overcast is simple but powerful and thoughtfully designed. Keep up the work!

I have no complaints about Overcast. I find it easy to use and to find interesting new podcasts to listen to. But, I noticed a huge discrepancy between the storage space used as reported by the app itself vs my iPhone’s storage report. I had to entirely remove the app to recover almost 20 GB of space despite having only a few downloaded episodes. I also noticed that deleted podcasts would reappear and I would have to delete them again. It seems the app is not truly deleting when it says it is, whether it's individual episodes or entire podcasts, which is why I had to completely remove the app. Too bad, really, since I did like it.

Came back to this after a year of not listening to podcasts and now nothing works. Can’t even load an episode without rebooting the app. This app used to be great, I’m so disappointed with it now.

Whenever I open this app to start listening to a podcast, the list of episodes is sorted by “current” instead of by “all”, via a slider at the top of the list. I’ve found no way to permanently make my podcasts appear with all episodes visible so this switch needs to be hit every time in order to “unhide” a number of episodes. Use another app that shows all episodes by default.

Love Overcast with the best podcast available but I’m a bit frustrated by not having the option to download episodes on cellular network instead of just wifi

I’ve tried many, but Overcast is most intuitive and versatile.
