However, it is (was) the only backup if you only use an iPad and/or an iPhone. Parachute now gives you an additional backup capability. This app allows you to supplement iCloud backups with backups to other cloud storage providers and/or to external drives. In my case I use SD cards and USB thumb drives. Parachute is easy to use and has really good developer support. Highly recommended!
