## Parchment Description
Parchment is a private daily journal that brings your writing, plans, calendar, and reminders together in one quiet place. It uses Apple's Reminders and the system calendar to bring your task and events together.

Open today and start writing immediately. Your calendar events and due or overdue reminders can appear above your journal entry, giving you the context of the day without switching apps. Capture notes, reflect on what happened, plan what comes next, or use Parchment as a simple daybook for work and life.

On iPad, Parchment also supports handwriting and drawing with Apple Pencil, so typed notes and handwritten thoughts can live together on the same day.

Parchment is built for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with iCloud sync available through your private iCloud account. There is no Parchment account to create, no advertising, and no third-party analytics SDKs.

I happened to catch the YouTube video announcing this app and got flashbacks to the old paper day planners we used to use. This is essentially that, but with the modern twist of tying into your Reminders and Calendar automatically. A great bridge between the old way and the new. I use this now as a quick way to capture thoughts and ideas throughout the day in the Daily Notes section. Every night now before bed I have a reminder to dump my Daily Notes into a common, appending note in Apple Notes (which is very very easy to do with the share sheet in Parchment). This gives me an ever expanding archive of things I can refer back to when I have some free time. No more losing ideas because I didn’t write them down!

I ended up adding a Parchment widget to the main screen. After launching it once, the application basically will not launch anymore. I did this again after uninstalling and reinstalling and the same thing happened.

I’m loving this app. I’m visual, so having the overall view of what’s important every day right on my screen is helpful. I really love the place to take a quick note, jot down an email, or whatever. The way I can customize colors makes the app fun to use, and the ability to sync across devices and create different sized widgets is so practical and useful. I have it on all of my devices now.
