The whole place seemed abandoned I guess this is the reason. This app is an absolute scandal. Same story as many others. Spent around 15 mins trying to make a payment and locate myself on the GPS map which insisted I was in London despite being 100s of miles away. Finally left in disgust. A week later revived a “penalty notice” for £100 in the post. I won’t pay. And the app should be taken down. App didn’t accept my number plate until I typed in capital letters which is fine if they actually bother to tell you and don’t make you guess why it keeps getting rejected. And then they have the audacity to charge a 20p booking fee for what I don’t know and a 15p sms charge which I never actually received. What a disgusting system it makes you suffer through just to pay to park. You need signal and data for starters, then it makes you use a god awful interface, like a mini game, and to top it off there is no Apple Pay function because this company, I presume, is super cheap and nasty. It took me 45 minutes to pay because the card kept declining on the website. They should be paying ME to park. That’s great, but it doesn’t summarise the selection before payment. I set daily, then logged in, and it reset to hourly. Ended up having to extend by hours so paying more than I needed. I also turned off the (paid for) sms reminders but they were re enabled and I ended up paying for those. All attempts to pay for parking were declined, after wasting time processing payment for at least 15 minutes. Had no choice but to leave the car park as there was no way to pay, which with Parknomy should have been possible, but wasn’t. Should be taken off the app store. Well I don’t believe that one bit, Arrive at car park, find machine not taking cash and no facility to take a card payment, no phone or internet coverage, undeterred I drive back a mile or so and find coverage to download the Parkonomy app, complete my details now the app won’t accept a simple debit card to enable payment of any sort, so that’s one place that we wanted to revisit that we had to cancel due to the stupidity of placing a machine where there’s no internet or phone coverage and the fact that the machine is poorly maintained, who works out if these facilities are suitable for the location?
