We’ve not lost any one of them : but they have managed to shed tracker and/or collar. We’ve found even in snow and even after waiting til dawn to look. That gives us a lot of confidence in the tracker helping us reliably find a lost pet. She chases anything that moves. It gives me peace of mind to be able to see where she is even if she won’t respond to me in the heat of the moment. The after sales service is also brilliant , I found contacting them with queries simple and the response and solutions prompt. I highly recommend them to anyone I meet but unfortunately have never used my code to enable them and me to receive a bonus discount, my bad. It’s waterproof even when he’s pretending to be a hippo in the mud. It’s secure on his collar so all in all I can highly recommend -- Pppiker, 2024-05-28 ### **--- "Poor" We have had this for some time. It’s not very accurate. For some time it was saying our dog had returned to the area and it was hours later than he had. The update to fix this took weeks, I’m going to say, if not a month or more. Part of the mechanism to hold it on the collar has broken off on one side. I get that we have a rough and tumble, 48kg dog but that’s what it’s designed for? When it fell off our dogs collar, we trawled for hours in the wet grasslands looking for it but it was in a no signal area and we couldn’t track it. I guess it would have been easier if there was a dog attached to it, but we were not looking in the right area because it isn’t that accurate. If you walk your dog in a town or a city then it will work well. The dog walker found it eventually as she knew where our dog was playing that day. I don’t know, I suppose disappointed is what I would say. We paid for a subscription for some years, but I don’t think we will continue at the end of it, if it lasts that long. -- Pear lie, 2024-05-04 ### ****- "Great product" Pawfit is a great product, would give it 5 stars but the tracker has come off twice in bushes. Pawfit is so much better. Much longer battery life and very very rarely loses gps signal. My only criticism is that the distances shown as being covered are not very accurate. It more often than not greatly exaggerates how long a walk is. She would always find her way back to the car but for the duration of her escapades I had absolutely no idea where she was. She loves to swim, bog trot, forage through the woods, nose in everything, she’s a very active, very fast and very energetic spaniel so can cover distances in no time at all. When walking herself was becoming a “thing” I decided it was time to go on tag. Too often I’ve seen people looking for the Tractive trackers and not the dog so I immediately ruled them out as my dog is too wild and would immediately lose it. I’d heard of Pawfit and looked at how sturdy the attachment was and thought we’d try it out. It clips neatly on to her collar with no irritation. She isn’t bothered by it at all. The app works really well and is very easy to use. The tracker (Pawfit 2) has been thoroughly tested in all weather conditions, soaked in thick mud and bashed through the undergrowth of the woods, she’s swam in the ponds and lakes, been through snow and heavy rain and it has never skipped a beat. I now recommend these to my clients and I have several dogs on my app now that I can see the location of. Customer service has been very helpful too. I’m pleased to say her phase of walking herself appears to have ended! And the tracker unit itself starts to develop intermittent GPS problems, in areas where up to now GPS signals were excellent. Previous review: This is no review for the tracker itself. That works well so far even in the remote area I live and my dog walks in. The app has positives and negatives. The positive is it works, connects to the tracker well and reports everything I need or would like to know. Here in the UK I have access to good maps from the Ordnance Survey, top notch. The various screens are good to read and understand, though the colour scheme is not exactly to my taste, but it could be worse. BUT, like a few other reviewers already have said, why do I need to be told that my dog achieved her daily goal? Who is responsible for the idea to have badges collect for every rubbish the dog does (get rid of that numpty)? And stop pestering me about leaving a POSITIVE review here (‘cause if we don’t like the app we should provide feedback) pretty much every day! I only wish the guys from Pawfit would actually read these reviews. -- fwf-scot, 2023-05-18 ### **--- "Super disappointed" I bought the Pawfit 2 on 20.02.23. On 28.02.23, I received an email announcing the release of the Pawfit 3. I would have never purchased the Pawfit 2 if I had known that the 3 was impending. I am rural and have poor signal, 2g is not up to the job. As well as using the Pawfit, I use some other apps when out walking. There are significant discrepancies re distance, route etc between the Pawfit and other apps that are using 4g. If I forget to start a walk on the Pawfit app inside my house, there is no chance connecting it beyond my garden gate. It is missold that the gadget has a battery life of six days. I’m lucky if I get two days and if I miss that, the Pawfit battery dies, it is furiously difficult to reconnect it to the app. If your dog is lucky to go on a hike longer than 2-hours, the app stops the walk and show that you have stopped far away in Timbuktu rather than your actual final destination. Another problem is that I received notifications well after the event, eg low battery alert & safety zone alert. Quite problematic for me particularly with the issue the battery issues. I raised my problems with Pawfit support and I received a dismissive response. Not impressed. I don’t usually bother to leave reviews, but I found super irritating that every time I open the app, begging for me to leave a review, so here it is! If you can afford it, buy the Pawfit 3 but do not bother with the Pawfit 2, unless I guess, if you live in a city/town. -- poorly jen, 2023-05-13 ### ****- "Reassuring" A great device for flighty dogs. The only downside from my perspective is it seems to need a very healthy mobile signal for it to work which can be a problem where I live in Scotland.
