Next! -- daydreamersd, 2025-11-17 ### ****- "I’m a BIG believer in the pCloud ecosystem" pCloud has been a go to resource on the cloud backup front for as long as I remember. I also learned of pCloud Pass pretty early on. They both have been rock solid. The ability to create secure notes and add tags has been a real game changer for me. In that regard, its note features are extremely basic. My wishlist for an enhanced note experience-Secure Note Versioning, Code Locker, Markdown/Rich Text support, and a secure clipboard manager/text expander keyboard. Any one or two of those missing elements would get that last Star. Thanks pCloud! -- App ReviewOr, 2025-05-31 ### **--- "Good in theory but really fails in key areas" Pros: lifetime option, iOS Safari extension. The former is something that is extremely rare in this product category, and the latter is also fairly rare, 1Password and LastPass are the only other apps I’ve seen with an iOS Safari extension. This makes the autofill process a lot easier because you don’t have to use Apple’s slow Face ID authentication every time you autofill a password, and makes it easier to autosave what details you want. Cons: no passkeys, no OTPs, no file storage, very limited selection of item types. These are all common features on other password managers, and the lack of the first two especially makes this feel like a big downgrade compared to 1Password for example. This means practically speaking, there is very little reason to use this app. Even with the $150 lifetime option, you don’t get things like passkeys and TOTPs. What’s the point? May as well use something like Bitwarden or Proton which are free and offer the same capabilities. The only thing this has over them is an iOS Safari extension, which is nice but I’m probably one of the few who would see that as a major boon. The main issue on the password management side is that it needs the ability to store and generate OTP codes for other websites. On the iOS side. The key issue is the web extension. The plugin needs to support biometrics. The app itself is convenient since it supports biometrics but the web extension is at best nusiance without it. Lastly, there needs to be better ipad OS support. At a minimum the app should work in split screen mode and slide over mode. If all of these changes were made I would give this service a 5/5 and proclaim that everyone should get a lifetime pass for it. -- trimatrix, 2024-11-30 ### **--- "Very Limited Features" Compared to BitWarden, this app (paid account) provides limited functionality. It is online 'first'. The initial access is also server side first. Result; if you don't have internet you don't have access to the information, period. But the password to the wi-fi is in the password manager.... I need the combination to the lock at the ship yard. No cell coverage there. Code to the generator building is in the password manager (shared with everyone who needs it), generator goes down, takes the internet down, how do I get the code to get the generator/internet back online? Password managers, especially business applications, MUST be designed from a life safety perspective. HAS to be offline AND client side authenitation FIRST (that is what the master password is for). Syncing and 'are you still cool?' can happen when you have internet access. For instance: value is placed across syncing across all platforms; hosting is on the right continent :); perpetual licensing is great; the feature set that the company has expressed supporting in the future seems to be on track to making it a serious competitor to other solutions. As far as the app on the iPhone goes, I would give it 4 1/2 stars. However, the app works in the context of the pCloud Password ecosystem and that is where the subtraction of the stars happen. The desktop app is painfully slow on all supported platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac) and the problem exists even on a M2 Mac. I respect the company and as mentioned, the direction seems to be good.
