Pentair Pool

App still doesn’t support landscape mode on an iPad. Nothing has changed with the new version, same old clunky look.

Works until it doesn’t. Twice now I’ve had updates that turn my connection offline. I use this app to operate my guests pools. Twice now I’ve had unhappy guests because I don’t have a connection after an update and I’m not in the area to come reset it manually. Bad reviews costs me money. Do not use Pentair systems.

Horrible. Forcing me to select a country outside USA even though I saw that I allowed it to use y location. Because of this, I could not connect my pump and my installer couldn’t finish the job. Lousy app. Never seen this kind of poor app performance

Does a good job connecting to Pentair equipment. Perhaps we’ve been spoiled by tech as what would make this a true smart device would be Alexis or Google Home integration. Years back they had it but removed it. I dream of the day when I can say, “Google turn on the spa.” Without fumbling through an app. We also have Google outside in our outdoor kitchen so having voice control would be so much better than trying to control a smartphone with wet hands. No options to dim lights is a true bummer. It’s either full blast or off. In the color light programs you can see the led lights dimming but without manual control this app is not for people with a keen eye to lighting design. No third party options either so you’re stuck with this tech. If pumps disconnect from wireless connection to control panel and there is no warning. So you can go on vacation and your pool can suddenly disconnect and you won’t know until you return. This happens only on rare occasions but some sort of notification would be a nice/typical feature. Lots of cool stuff here despite the aforementioned issues. Though it cannot connect to Google for scheduling, you have schedule controls within the app. Not perfect as you can’t turn on or off schedules with an easy button, you have to manipulate the schedules manually. So if you create multiple schedules for different seasons and want to switch things on and off, you have to recreate the schedules every season. It’s kind of a mess. I’m thankful, for now, it’s at least stable.

If your intellicenter loses power for more than a few minutes, it remembers most settings when power resumes, but it forgets a very important setting… freeze protection. That’s totally unacceptable and risks so much equipment damage. Please fix.

The app allows me to turn on/off my pool easily and works without crashing. I really wish I could have more control over the schedule—it does not allow control for each day, it only has options for scheduling Monday-Friday OR Weekend schedule. However, the weekend only applies for Saturday and Sunday. There is no way to schedule for Friday without including the entire work week. Most people I think would prefer a Friday-Saturday schedule vs rest of the week.

system goes crazy, resets itself etc. not reliable

I’m not so sure how this app has so many high ratings. It’s so glitchy and always has been. It’s not even reading that I have a pool or lights. Im part time in Fla (where my pool is located) and something always goes wrong with it. Right now the app is ready the outside temp as 39 degrees, but the outdoor temp is around 70+ degrees. Now it’s have to manually adjust the heater and spa. Beyond frustrating. I wish I went with a competitor’s system.

Forced upgrade to this app and it rarely connects to equipment

I cant set up a profile as I dont have a UK address or cell number Downloaded on the US apple store My apple profile is US Iphone purchased in the US. Without changing the region to US this app is useless and the new pentair pump i bout cant be programmed remotely The only different location options i get are in Europe
