Pin Drop - Private Maps

I switched over from Mapstr that started charging a crazy amount of money and stumbled upon this app. The transfer of data was pretty smooth and I liked how it has a lot of similar features to what I was drawn to Mapstr as a user by. I’ve had a few issues with the app. Mainly when trying to add pins abroad, searching the address usually doesn’t bring up results so I have to go to Google Maps to retrieve the coordinates to manually add the location. The adding friends/ other users is also very buggy and doesn’t seem to really work. I had difficulty making a shared list because it kept saying the person who I was adding wasn’t logged in when they tried opening the link. All that said, the founder/developer is very open to suggestions and feedback both through the in app suggestion function or through reddit so I’m very happy I made the switch.

Really easy to add locations horrible to share and add followers to share plans. Sent link to share and they had to send me a follow request, I accepted and it never allowed them to follow.

App has lots of bugs to fix. Constantly signs me out. Not easy to share pin drops, which is basically the point of the app.

I like the app

this is precisely what i needed, i couldn’t find an app similar to this and was honest to god about to create one myself. no this one allows you to drop places u went (or want to go to) and put them into a tag / list so u can go back to it. it’s organized, it shows off all your pins in general, AND u can leave pics and notes for yourself

Unable to select my list to import even using their template. Tried adding them individually but when I clicked on one to add pin to my trip list, I got a notice that “there was a problem. We are looking into it”. Awful follow up on emails.

I love this app… added pins since March 2023 of places I travelled, including all of the places we stopped on our honeymoon. A little over a year later, I’d open the app and it would crash before I could even view anything. App was updated, phone had been restarted. Nothing was working. I emailed the developers and they reached out to me immediately and resolved the issues within a few weeks. I didn’t have to stay in touch or remind them, they went above and beyond. They checked in with me once they did their fixes to make sure it worked on my end. Now I get to go back through and see all the beautiful memories I put in there 😊

This is the best app I’ve found to organize my favorite places and places I want to visit. I love being able to organize and customize every tag. The option to share with others is a plus!

This is the quickest easiest way to drop pins and share multiple locations!

I’m making mine over theme parks and I noticed a park in Florida is 143 miles away when in reality it’s much more than that. This also happened to most of my other locations.
