Plan to Eat

I have been using plan to eat for years now and have recommended and gifted it to a number of friends. Can’t imagine preparing meals for a family without it. I particularly like having all my recipes stored in one place available anywhere.

This app has made the whole production of meal planning and grocery shopping far more bearable 😅👍 … I would have given it a 5 if it hadn’t annoyed me recently by forgetting some of my customised category assignments. A small thing, but I am fussy now I know how good it can be.

I have been using Plan to Eat for a number of years now and will continue to do so as long as it exists! It is so easy to use and has taken a huge load off my mind in terms of planning and grocery shopping. While it was an effort to set up with recipes I already used it was well worth it. The added benefit I didn’t foresee when I started was the fact that multiple family members can have the app on their devices and add to the shopping list, view the menu and cook from the recipes - step by step! For my now teens and tweens this has been liberating for them. They have learnt so much about planning, prepping and cooking with only a little help from me. I can edit the shopping list and get them to do the online grocery shop. With food allergies we shop from multiple places so having the shopping list put things under the correct store is marvellous. I could go on! For our big family it has been 150% worth it.

I used to struggle to plan my meals, going to the supermarket. It seemed like such a big job after long days at work when I didn’t have the energy. Getting this app changed my life. It’s so easy to import recipes and make the lists, and satisfying to tick things off. The nutritional info calculator has helped me stay on top of my health goals, too. I’m so grateful. Thank you!

I love this app! Maybe a little too much! It's a bit embarrassing... but... I now have clipped [drum roll] 2,687 recipes!! (But, before you freak out, I've been using this app since 2014, so that averages out to about 5-6 recipe-clips a week!) I have friends who says to me, "Oh I just use Pinterest". Here's why you need THIS app. You want to make something with zucchini, so you open the app and type in "zucchini", and every recipe with zucchini that *I have already clipped because I know I want to try it* will appear. On Pinterest, I'll have to wade through all the zucchini recipes I would never be interested in till I found one. I know that everything in my PTE account is something I put it there because I know I want to try it. And another thing -- I love the Meal Planner! I like to look at what is in my food storage, and base my meals for the week off of that, so I can pick and choose the recipes, and plan the week. SO simple. And I can't tell you how many times I've been in the grocery store, and pull out the shopping list. Just this morning I got a recipe in my email from a favorite food blogger. I looked at the recipe and thought, "Yes -- I want to try that sometime", and I clipped it. Done. Deleted the email -- don't need to worry about finding it when I want to make it. And one last thing -- I've been on vacation, and my son calls me and says, "Mom - how do I make the Taco Soup?" So, I find the recipe, then forward him the link. Done! I have a good friend who said her husband clips the recipes. When she goes to cook meals, she chooses from his clips because she knows it's something he will want to try. HE put it there! I can't speak highly enough about this app -- you have easily wasted more than the cost of this app on useless things in your life. This won't be one of them.

You have to subscribe to use any of the functions. Don’t bother downloading.

This app has been life changing for me as a working mum. It’s cut our food bill dramatically and I LOVE having my weekly meals at my fingertips each day.

I’ve checked out a lot of these, this is the best in part because importing is so easy. And I’d that fails the manual loading is straightforward too. We use it a lot

Such an easy way to organise food for the week. We only grocery shop once a week with this app and we have little food wastage
