### ****- "It helps, but there are some improvements needed"
The app is very helpful when dividing a restaurant bill, especially for a big group, but I suggest that there should be an option to add the tax in percentage as well. This is to make sure it calculates the tax amount based on each person’s subtotal. By just entering the whole tax amount it divides it by the number of people equally. I also wish the names of each person could be added in the plates.

This app is so great! It’s seamless, easy, and useful. Not to mention it’s visually pleasant! My only suggestion (and the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars) is that I wish you could write in a tip amount instead of being bound to the sliding scale of percentage for the tip.

I use this app often with my dinner group. I wish plates could add more plates though. If I have restaurant reservations over 10 people, I have to use a different app.

I love this app! It’s so easy to calculate everyone’s share of a meal. I love that it distributes tax and tip based on the share of the bill total rather than dividing amongst attendees. 

Great for the friend who wants all the credit card points but doesn’t want to get stiff-changed.

This app is absolutely amazing at easily dividing portions, dissociation taxes and tip. I love how you can divide by item on your bill, and then further divide items by only some or all of the attendees if shared. It's also great that you can then combine itemized plates for people paying together.  I have only two suggestions that would really make this perfect:
1. Allow user to type in tip amount. I regularly calculate 20% and then will round up to the next dollar amount when paying, but this app only has a percentage slider.  It also only goes to 25%, and sometimes for exceptional service I exceed way past that. 
2. Allow naming of plates. If it's only 2 or 3 people, it's not hard to keep track of who is who, but beyond that can get a little tricky.

This app is nearly perfect and there are 3 things that would make it one of the best apps on iOS.

Tbh is app is fantastic - the math is perfect. It is something you need to practice a head of time because I usually find folk I'm with tend to be impatient and don't want me to go through the entire line by line, but it's fantastic when you're with folk who can wait the 2 minutes it takes to input everything.

It’s so nice to have an app where it equally splits the tip and tax. I’ve never seen another app do that so that’s amazing. Only thing is I wish we could see the names we give each plate so I don’t have to tap in to remember. Also, it would be nice to give a specific number for a tip rather than percentages. Always have to go over or under what I tip.

I don’t like that I have to turn my phone when using the app because I am usually switching between the camera app (to view picture of receipt) and it makes it difficult with the landscape mode. I also think incorporating a custom tip amount would benefit better instead of just a rigid slider.

I love this app and how easy it is to use! I’ve even recommended multiple times. The only suggestion I would make is for the tip entry to be a text input for custom tips or at least the percentage to be calculated with the option of tax included in the total.

I love this app, the only reason why I won’t give it 5 stars it’s because I would love for there to be an option to upload the receipt and for this to be a vertical app vs horizontal. It makes it hard to go back and forth between the photo app (where I have the picture of the receipt) and this app because of the horizontal format.

Generally like this app—the interface is clean and easy to use. I wish that there was more flexibility. It hasn’t been updated in a while, which makes me sad because there are so many features that would make it better. Features I wish it included: 

1) integration with Splitwise. If I split a bill in a trip it’s a pain to copy the bill into Splitwise. I have my own way of splitting within Splitwise but plates makes it easier to add the cost of multiple dishes things together. 

2) customized tip amounts. Sometimes the tip is not exactly a percentage, or the person paying used one of the suggested tips which calculates 20% different using the tax vs not. It’s annoying when it’s off that way. It also won’t allow you to go beyond 25% which doesn’t work in certain circumstances. 

3) more flexibility in how things are split. There are also times when it’s appropriate to split the tip evenly instead of proportionately. For example, in some European cultures the tip is a fixed amount relatively unrelated to the exact cost of the meal and that would be split evenly. In other times I’ve had friends who want to split a dish in a different way that half. For example if there are 10 of a thing and one person eats 5, and the other two people eat 2 and 3, someone may want to split proportionate to how much they ate. In Splitwise they have the option to split in shares or in percentages and I think those splitting options should be here too.

- Allow the user to enter the exact tip amount instead of just using percentage
- Have some history page that stores the last few totals
- Let the user put a note or name on each plate
