### ****- "‘Name Speakers’ isn’t operational."
‘Nam(ing) Speakers’ isn’t operational when managing transcriptions in iOS.  Apparently it is a known bug, and it would be a welcome fix, especially considering the cost of the device, which is reasonable considering the overall goodness of the product. 

Otherwise, recording, transcribing, summarizing, and editing are wonderful features and all work well. I was surprised at the device’s ability to selectively cut out background noise, including environmental chatter and music. Nice touch!

The addition of the Plaude AI note taker has been a revolutionary addition to my arsenal of tools as a vice president of sales. Whether I’m conducting a business review or a discovery meeting, this tool generates a perfect summary, which I drop into a GPT bot to formulate a well formatted sales report based on the summary notes or meeting minutes. 

A sales report used to take me about 35 to 45 minutes to write,  now it takes me about two minutes!!

Janvier 2026-J’ai acheté 2 PLAUD note Pro avec un abonnement illimité….l’abonnement n’est pas associé à mon compte qui doit avoir 2 PLAUD….donc J’ai cancelle et pris uniquement un abonnement mensuel …2e problème majeur….si votre PLAUD note se vide de sa charge …dès que la charge de la batterie est à zéro….c’est tres  complexe vous devez faire un reset et ca prend plus que 30 hres pour recharger la batterie….choisir dans configuration le type d’enregistrement en mode minimal… PLAUD est excellent pour la prise de note

I’ve been using it for about a month right now. It has been a great news to me for my meetings important notes. It’s amazing not just that kind of my tracker. I can tell throughout the day. What are the things I wanna do my to-do tasks or whatever and then more those audio files really quickly and then just transcribe it and it just gives me a summary what needs to be done, priority blah blah blah blah blah it’s amazing.

I cannot say enough about how much the Plaud device has helped streamline my day. I have many meetings throughout the day, and they are now so organized.
I also use the transcript to put into custom ChatGPT apps, to create client emails, and internal checklists.

Recorded on its own over 30 times, turned off, sitting on my desk, app. not open. Huge privacy concern. Messaged support, talked to an AI, never got an email from an actual human (unless it went to spam and was never found). When I check back on my chat history on the app. the conversation is gone so no follow up was ever received. I’ve updated the firmware but have kept it disconnect from my phone and have not tried to use it since as I’m uncontrollable keeping it connected to my phone now.

The hardware/industrial design is great. 6-12 months ago I might have given 5 stars, but now other options exist, which arguably better. Plaud needs to up it’s game.   Better competion=cheap voice recorder from amazon (better batter life, literally can record for days on end non-stop), recognize the text with Mac Whisper (drag and drop) , and drop into chatbot of your choice e.g. Gemini and get everything Plaud gives you and more!  With little effort.     The main problem with Plaud is two pronged: 1) if you get a limited plan, you have to choose when to turn on/off the recorder to save your minutes.   2) if you choose unlimited Plaud plan and record all day on Plaud then the process on your phone is a lot thumb-clicks, (it’s easier and faster to do to other method I mentioned)   So you have a catch-22. (neither option is ideal, and on top of it first method I mentioned could be done for far less $) I hope Plaud gets this message, they cannot deny other options exist now.

I was hesitant t buy and circling around between two AI voice recorders, then after many reviews and online search while in Canada I came to choose the Plaud:AI Voice recorders. I ordered yesterday night and Just received it next morning; excited to try it I purchased the unlimited package for 299$ being an engineer and lawyer who needs certain technical and legal wordings, and immediately immersed myself in one of the great items that made life easier. I tried recording, transcribing, filing and was extremely happy. wished I had it 50 years ago when I was a student at the engineering school!!!You can easily record a meeting, start your own book writing or just for fun write a short daily briefing and send it to family and friends,even more to your colleagues or subordinates. I am thinking of getting the Pin as well as the wearables as I believe it has a lot to add wherever you are. I strongly recommend it. Donot hesitate to get one, it’s worth every dollar.
