Important: A Plex Media Server with access to at least one photos library is required to use this application.

Plex Photos is your dedicated app for viewing your personal media photo libraries, providing a seamless and intuitive way to relive your favorite moments. Whether you're at home or on the go, Plex Photos lets you access your personal photo collection with ease.

Currently Supported Features:
- Recommended View: Discover curated highlights from your photo library, bringing your best moments to the forefront.
- Timeline View: Explore your photos in a chronological format, making it easy to travel back in time and revisit memories from specific dates.
- Library View: Browse through your entire photo collection organized by folders and albums, making it simple to find and view exactly what you're looking for.

Note: This is the first Plex Photos release and will receive regular updates over the coming months. I installed this app soon after it was released but within days, it wouldn’t show my library, the switch profile and log off options don’t do anything and typically, the app just freezes. Stick with the photos in the main plex app. It works and has more functions.

I have plex android and iPad on my kitchen counter. 

I auto play all my photos with plex web.  

I’d much rather auto play my photos with plex photos, but it doesn’t have an auto play feature.  

It pretends to, but it doesn’t.  Please ADD the auto play of photos to this plex photos app for both Android and iPad!

The App often freezes and I need to quit it and reopen to start viewing again. 

It often tells me there is “nothing to see here” as my images disappear. 

I have only loaded a handful of images to test it out, so this is concerning going forward. 

I have high hopes for Plex Photos.  Right now it’s way too buggy to recommend.

This app has one job to do and it isn’t doing it. My photos folder opens fine in the main Plex app and everywhere else but keeps cutting out in this photos app. It’ll show my photos and then jump to “Nothing to see”. Then the photos might come back but it cuts out again.
