## PriceCatcher Description
This mobile app has been developed and published by the Ministry of Domestic Trade And Cost of Living Malaysia or KPDN under the 1Pengguna program with the intention to help all Malaysian consumers out there to become better buyers of products and daily items while at the same time helping them to reduce their spending and cost of living.

This mobile app is integrated with the Infopengguna web portal and MyHarga System which is available at  and is designed to provide consumers with an easy tool to check the daily prices of all the basic grocery items (480 items) at all stores and markets in all areas in Malaysia. With the app, together with minimal internet access, users can check on demand the prices of the items and compare them in just a few touches. Users can then can decide where to purchase the items based on their needs and convenience.

Another feature that is available is a grocery list feature that allows anyone to create their own list of items to purchase and on demand, they are able to check which store or market location provides the best value for the whole list of items so that they become better consumers, shop at fair price stores and help them save money.

Many data is not available like for eg. Lotus Ampang and only few 99 Speedmarts are in the database. Moreover, certain items are not available in the 99 Speedmarts but physically available. Please update the database with more grocery stores and items so that the app can become more effective.

This is a great apps for checking prices for specific items in the area without even going to the store, it helps one to survey a lot of items from different supermarket, hyper market etc nearby. However, recently the apps has some technical issues up until now and hasn’t been resolve yet. Developers pls make the issue go away, it is so frustrating that I can’t find specific items

The app provides the ceiling price sets by kpdnhep BUT we cannot complaint if price we found in the market is beyond the max std price. It would be awesome if the apps can have that function. I checked out this application after the minister of finance in Malaysia highlight on the existence of such application in the budget 2019. However, I was surprised to find that most the function that I click either is “Batal” or “Padam”. There is a huge bug in here. I do give credit to the government agencies for having such initiative to create such an application. However, it is still important to acknowledge that without a proper and functioning application, the application serve no purposes other than just a marketing gimmick. Truly disappointed.
