## RadarScope Description
RadarScope is an AMS-award-winning weather visualization tool that empowers meteorologists, public safety officials, storm spotters, and weather enthusiasts to view a full suite of single-site radar data and related severe weather products. Your initial purchase provides professional radar visualization in a fully native app, free from distracting and invasive practices, with optional subscription packages to add even more capabilities.

Whether you’re scanning for a mesocyclone’s tell-tale hook echo, pinpointing the landfall of a hurricane’s eye wall, or identifying velocity couplet, hail spike, or debris ball signatures, RadarScope displays native radar data in its original radial format. You see what the radar sees almost as soon as the radar sees it, with automatic updates every two to ten minutes depending on the radar’s scanning strategy.

This app is fantastic and shows you information that you normally can’t access. Updates are much more frequently than what you get from Environment Canada. My only suggestion to the developer of this app would be to add a trial for the pro futures. I’m not sure if I actually want the pro futures or not it seems tempting, but I don’t really want to sacrifice my money yet if I don’t like the futures, if there was even like a three day trial, or even shorter, it would be a 5 star app.

From an enthusiast, but non-expert:

Great app that provides simple but important raw radar data—the kind of data that is becoming harder and harder to come across. Better than the many other radar apps I have tried (looking at you, Environment Canada).

A few pros:
– Radar data is almost immediately available (usually less than a minute delay). Makes for more useful and precise extrapolation.
– Provides raw data from individual Canadian radars, which Environment Canada seems to have stopped providing (shame on them).
– Provides velocity data from Canadian radars, which is otherwise paywalled (I believe).
– The developers should get a lot of credit for the fact that the app collects no information—this is very rare.

This is an advanced app for viewing radar images from wx radar heads. It’s not something joe blow can pick up and understand. 
Those saying it isn’t any good simply don’t know how to interpret the data. 

It’s like looking at  an X-ray and saying an iPhone does a better picture.

After Environment Canada has updated its radar, I think there might have been an error in fetching Canadian radars in this app… all Canadian radars return as blanks. The American ones still work, might be useful if you live along the border.

The app does exactly what it states it does and has always done - provide radar data across the United States and Canada (as well as Korea and now Australia). 

From the lightning data to SPC ranging from rainfall accumulation, composite radar with velocity and a per-radar support, this app certainly out does most other applications.

When reading the other reviews, many people complain about the lack of data or outages across Canada, yet many people are clearly missing that the data is provided by Environment Canada and that there is a 20+ million dollar expansion to the Canadian radar network over the next 3-5 years including all upgraded radars and new stations as well. These data mishaps are not the apps fault.

Great app. Definitely worth the money.

In eastern Ontario and this app in basic version has always done what it is supposed to do: show you unprocessed raw data from available stations. 

No, it doesn’t do composite, and it is not going to make up super-res where it seems Envirocan doesn’t have it.   It’s just another very useful tool for more sophisticated weather users. 

A bit more map detail would be nice.
