Rain Parrot

Love Rain Parrot. Helps me organise my walking times so I can fit them in between showers. All I need for my everyday weather needs.

For where I live, this is proving to be the most accurate yet. Have tried all the ‘recommended to me’ by friends. This simply works better.

Considering the weather is extremely hard to predict, this app does an extremely good job predicting bands of rain coming through the city. The closer you live to the Doppler radar, the better. I live in Perth Australia and I'm 50km from the radar site of Serpentine. But this app has been accurate for me down to the minute. However, less accurate if the rain is scattered, but still does a good job. Well done in my opinion. I have no issue opening my wallet to these guys.

This app used to be great, was always accurate in its predictions and timely with its notifications. Now however it does nothing, haven’t received a single notification in months and when asked the developers chose to ignore

Like quite a few here, I use to rave to people about Rain Parrot but feel that its accuracy has dropped markedly and have largely stopped its alerts. I also note there have been no new updates for over a year and wonder if the parrot has been left for dead??

Bought this thinking it would give me solid weather predictions within at least a few hours, but that’s not the case. Sometimes it says the rain will stop in x amount of minutes, but then in a few minutes it just changes the prediction - it’s not precise at all, it just varies like the weather it’s predicting.

This app used to be amazing but it no longer works like it used to. It used to be so accurate with its rain prediction for my location but nowadays it’s either outright wrong or super delayed. Pretty much useless in Melbourne.

App works great. An option to change the audio notification from “rain parrot” would be great.
