Angry Birds’ Grand Return: A review.
I personally believe Angry Birds is an underrated game as a mobile game or a pc one. The games serve as very fun puzzlers in my opinion, and it’s a shame it gets pushed aside more often than not. The original Angry Birds will always be my favourite, up there at the top of Angry Birds games with Bad Piggies. This version is solid, and the strive to recreate classic Angry Birds is a pleasing idea, after the fan outcry, it was very charming to ACTUALLY bring 2012 back. However, that decision also serves as this games MAJOR downfall. The choice to omit chapters and features beyond Surf And Turf is beyond saddening for me, it’s especially upsetting to see great sets of levels like “Bad Piggies”, Reds Mighty Feathers and Short Fuse. You still get a lot and I’m still grateful this game was brought back but I’m also disappointed a good chunk of the game is simply not here. I pray for a series of updates adding back these chapters, it could bring plays back and/or in and satisfy people who miss these chapters like I do. The price is acceptable, if anything I am thrilled the game has a price at all. Freemium gaming is a poison and it’s finally nice to have a game free of ads (pretty much), micro-transactions and all the horrors in between. It’s good old classic Angry Birds, which is a plus and a half. Mighty Eagle is even free now instead of being an in-app-purchase! Which is a fantastic quality of life improvement. The game is well worth the price tag. Overall, the game is great! But if you can get your hands on the original Angry Birds (PC version for instance), I recommend playing that version over this due to the missing chapters, of course, being available. This would be an easy 5 star rating if it had those chapters, but please leave out the power ups. I was never a fan personally and it’s really not needed. I doubt Rovio will listen to my plea, but it’s worth a shot, plus I get to review this. At very least add Bad Piggies back in, that was released in 2012! Thank you for reading.
