Update: 

Found out that the app doesn’t like VPN usage. Works fine again once I switched off the VPN 😂

I bought the peephole version and it was great. Until now. Noticed this morning that it’s offline. I tried reconnecting, not working. I tried registering the device again, not working. I signed out of the app… and now I can’t log in. Deleted the app and downloaded the newest version from 3 days ago… nothing. Trying to contact customer service… not sure how as I don’t have access to the app. 😢

I have changed WiFi and the cam won’t reconnect.
The pop up shows on the screen with a visible lag after the ring is pressed.
The set up is a nightmare and it’s not uncommon.
Ring really has to fix this.
The capabilities and features are cool but the set up is very bad and often just fails.

Having this app on my phone is constantly draining my iPhone battery in the background even with background app refresh turned off, so this app is useless to me as i’ve had to delete it because of this issue which means I can’t see any notifications for motion or doorbell rings.

After years happily working with VPN my doorbells no longer will load video when VPN is on (which it is all the time). This makes them next to useless as, by the time I have paused VPN, it is too late to respond to the alert. Very disappointing.

I am being blocked by opening my account because the system can’t VERIFY MY CAPTCHA. I have tried to open a new account, but it tells me I have one This crazy system is sending me around in circles. What’s more they have the neck to charge me for this so called service. Very poor customer service. The robot system is useless and you can’t get onto a human unless you phone - at my expense. Keep clear of this company is my advice!!! Ray.
Update: I spent hours on to this company’s so called HELP line without success. I was away over Christmas and my property was left unprotected ! I have two of these door bells and can’t access either of them, I have even tried to open a new account with a alternative email address NO Good either. Unless they contact me, I wash my hands of this company…

Last night about 1 or 2 am about 3 or 4 boys came and robbed my handbag in my car.I went out and checked my car and I noticed all the compartments in my car were open and all my money/coins was everywhere and when I went out to check maybye they left the handbag outside and when I went out I saw all my lip liner and lip sticks and pictures all scattered everywhere when I went to check the ring doorbell to see all the footage it didn’t even catch anything😡.And I’m very mad cause it’s my favourite handbag what is a Louise Vuitton one what I had for years .

Can not access live view. it just buffers and buffers then cuts off, does not matter whether I’m on Wi-Fi or network still just buffers, I also get a lot of motion detections with either no video available as a notice or the video starts as the people are back turned walking away from the camera, I’ve even downloaded the quick app and it’s no different on there, handy bit of kit if it worked properly but mine does not
