RingGo: Mobile Car Parking App

Tried to park today by phoning the number. Referred by robot to app. Downloaded app. Tried to register. Informed will be sent text. No text received. Requested another. None received. Requested a third. Told have exceeded daily text allowance. Couldn’t register. Had to leave car park and find another that didn’t require Ringo. Now deleted app.

Just flat out refuses to accept my number plate.

Search for your location, and often (particularly in London), chances are it doesn’t have it! Read the parking machine miles away down the road in the rain and presto, it has it after all…. Surely a simple thing to fix, but they can’t be bothered

I can no longer use this app. It stopped recognising my password so I reset it through the website ( as the app password reset does not work) Now I can access my account on the website but when I put the same login details in the app the login button stays greyed out so I cannot log in.

£1.60 per hour shown at site as the cash charge. App charged me £2.20 Be careful!

Works until it doesn’t, at which point good luck changing your password, re-loading the app or getting any help. Am astonished it has a 4.8 rating despite almost every recent rating being lower. Got offered a live chat - no response. Is there any sentient being in Ringgo or do we all get the same auto response?

iOS 16.7.8 Apple IPhone 8+ I have just deleted the app and downloaded it, again. I tried to login and nothing happens. I have been using this app for many years, successfully and all of a sudden it stops working. I have the latest version of the Ringo App, and iOS 16.6 and an iPhone 8+ I can log into the Ringo website successfully. UPDATE 1: This the reply I got from their customer services department: "We are sorry to hear of your experience whilst using our service to book your parking session. Should you wish to discuss this further please contact our Customer Care team via our Live Chat service where an agent will be happy to assist you." An automated response. What an utterly pathetic company. I advise everyone to delete this completely useless app. It’s clear that the company couldn’t care less about its Apple based customers. There is clearly a bug in the code of the login module I used to be an iOS developer, using XCode & Objective-C, for about 10 years. So I know all about this kind of application. The bug fix should be an absolute priority and yet these guys couldn’t care less. We have been waiting many months now and all we get is an automated response. What an awful app. 😡 UPDATE 2: I have just added their latest update 7.64.0 and nothing has changed? Here is their latest response: "We are sorry to hear of your experience whilst using our service to book your parking session. Should you wish to discuss this further please contact our Customer Care team via our Live Chat service where an agent will be happy to assist you." I mean I guess many iPhones must be affected? Don’t these guys test for iPhones? PLEASE SORT THIS OUT GUYS! UPDATE 3: Here we go again. Another automated message. Are these people trying to wind us up? It’s now been at least 6 months and a vast chunk of parking machines, are now unusable. Shouldn’t the UK Government step in and try and resolve this. It’s not possible to park adequately, about 50% of the time? Half the machines use the PayByPhone App, which is great and the other half, use the Ringo App, which no longer works. I am a local resident and am now being charged to register a guest for clean access. This is new - previously we were not charged to register guests. As a local resident I object to being charged for this.

I had this app for a few years now never had a problem. On holiday last week the app stop working I just get the screen saying park a pay. Deleted app multiple times gone on line and I’d all the tips on there. Still no app.

This is an outrageous fee to pay when only using car park for 30 minutes . This is also a SUNDAY !!!!!!!!!!!! I will be writing formally to object to what i believe to be an abuse by City of London Corporation
