I was dreaming of moving to Italy and wanted to improve my Italian, so I tried this app. It seemed like it would be perfect, and it was! I was so impressed that I wanted to keep learning. I actually learned so much that I ran out of free lessons. But then I saw the prices. So, I could learn more, and I was shocked. It was way too expensive, like $499 to learn it all. I don’t have that kind of money. Could you explain why it costs so much, and maybe we could find a way to make it more affordable? Thanks!

I think my favorite part is being able to have a conversation with a video speaker, interactive, and fluid. It really is empowering to hear yourself speaking Italian, even with the first lesson. I’m looking forward to diving much deeper as an older woman. I never thought I would be able to acquire a new language, but this is truly amazing. I did a free trial on every single language app and landed here and I’m truly pleased that I did.

Not really sure why this happens but when practicing Chinese the app freezes and the phrases don’t load. The speech recognition sometimes doesn’t work and just says 100% even if I don’t finish the sentence

I have tried several apps for learning Mandarin Chinese and this app uses the best comprehensive method. I wish I could rate it in fractional stars and rate it 4.5/5 stars. If Traditional Characters were available in the app, I would rate it 5/5 stars.

This is a good application. I bought the full suite for Spanish. The only issue is that they don’t have a comprehensive study guide, flashcards and phrase book that summarizes an entire  module. Would be very useful.

Love the app, so well done, really appreciate learning the history, social contexts, and the nuances.  Just one request…if there is a way to play the little sign vids at half or quarter speed, that would make it perfect.  I too often have to go off-app to other websites to see the sign done slower.  Minor quibble, I concede, but the fact that other learning tools include slow-playback options tells you I’m not alone in my thinking.

I tried the normal language apps and this one fits my learning style the best. Instead of learning a singular word at a time you learn how to have conversations. I was able to start using the little Spanish I learned immediately because I was learning how to ask simple questions and learning how to answer. The modules are so in depth with the learning material. It’s best to buy all the levels at once.

First off I must disclose I have a Language based learning disability. Thus it takes me 5x more for me to retain , draw references, word retrieval and basic Confidence when speaking . The drills may be long and some may find it repetitive. But it sinks in & that’s what counts . I rather learn to pronunciation and articulate correctly the first try and this app gets you there . One no longer speech italian with a gas sly Texas accent   Bravo

This is what I’ve been looking for with language learning on my own. It’s easy to understand, has clear explanations of grammar and culture, is very interactive, and has lots of different applications for you to practice. Plus, everything is relevant, no more learning random phrases you’ll never use. My favorite feature is where you practice a conversation with a video of another person, taking on the role of their conversation partner. While you record yourself, you watch their video looking at you and listening to you, which helps model a real conversation and gives a little of that feeling of pressure you have when talking to someone and that’s so important to practice and overcome that anxiety.
