When it will be working with IC-705? It’s great app, but very old....

Using with an iPad and a Icom IC-705 and an openSPOT3. I can set-up reflectors in Callsigns within the APP, e.g. REF001CL where the L at the end will act as a Link command. However if I want to save an unlink command in the App’s Callsigns list, I would need to save seven spaces followed by a U for Unlink. Unfortunately the developer doesn’t understand leading spaces, so it stupidly removes them. Normally after linking to a reflector I would use ‘USE REFLECTOR CQCQCQ’ but again I can’t because the menu item is greyed-out. Finally there is a screen sizing bug in the text message facility. Once you’ve selected that, you can’t see the hamburger menu at the top right of the screen, so you have to force the App to close to get out of it. I think that the software test manager may have had other things on their mind. These are schoolboy errors.

Connects and immediately disconnects from iPhone 14 with most current iOS. such a frustrating waste of time. The app looks useful, but cannot get it to connect to the radio for more than two seconds.

I was really looking forward to this having just got the ID-52a and I thought, for sure being that Icom has such a large presence here in the US for amateur radio that they would surely have an iOS app that would work well with their flagship HT being that the vast majority of people in the US use iPhones. Unfortunately, the app is completely unusable because the very first step of connecting through Bluetooth doesn’t work. It’s able to find the radio but it’s not able to connect the radio and phone. I have, of course, tried every possible solution and nothing works. A real disappointment, considering the manufacturers name.

This app gets some bad reviews. It works for me and has some interesting features. It works with my IC-705. It allows me to send and receive pictures along with view stations and repeaters on the map. I tried the text feature but it did not work. The issue may be because the radio I was attempting to message using the text feature was an IC-9700. Hopefully ICOM will continue to develop and improve this app.

I have downloaded the app and tried to pair my iPhone 12 to my Icom ID-52. The phone will find the radio but when you tap connect the radio will not pair with the phone. I’ve tried resetting my phone and radio both. This review will be updated after the problem is corrected!!

The repeater list should be more extensive and include FM repeaters.

This app does a great job operating Dstar on my IC705. The interface is simple to use and has a great set of features. I would like the ability to import repeater lists via the Files in iOS or from One Drive, Drop Box, etc. The instructions say to sync the files with iTunes but I’m not sure how that will help. Exporting the downloaded repeater list creates a CSV file but I cannot find it in the iOS file system. The CSV is only within the app. The android version (RS MS1A) does exactly as I am describing above and works well.

Please add support for the ID-5100 with the BT module!

App sees the ID52 but won’t connect, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16.1. Bluetooth enabled, using app to discover and connect, only it won’t connect, ever. Need update please!
