## Runestone Text Editor Description
A plain text editor with syntax highlighting, line numbers, search and replace, page guide, and much more. It's like TextEdit but more powerful and optimised for iPhone and iPad.

Runestone is made by a single person with a love for text editors and a vision of building the most lightweight text editor for iPhone and iPad that still has the core features for editing code.

Features:
- Syntax highlighting of many languages including HTML, JavaScript, JSON, Markdown, Swift, Python, PHP, YAML, and many more.
- Select one of the twelve standard themes including popular themes like Tomorrow, Dracula, Solarized, and One Dark Pro.
- Innovative find and replace for searching and modifying text while still viewing your file.
- Choose font and font size, including support for custom fonts imported using another third-party app.
- Show the line and column the cursor is located on.
- Uses the standard document browser for an experience similar to the Files app.
- Quickly navigate to a specific line.
- Automatically close opening brackets and quotes.
- Multiple windows on the iPad.
- Format code using Prettier.js. Supported languages include CSS,HTML, JavaScript, JSON, PHP and more.
- Choose text encoding between popular encodings like UTF-8, UTF-16, ISO Latin 1, and many more.
- Enable or disable autocorrection, autocapitalization, and smart punctuation.
- Set default file extension of new files.
- Open files in Runestone from the Share Sheet.
- Print documents.

Runstone Editor funktioniert für meine Bedürfnisse in der kostenlosen Light Version prima. Zum Editieren von HTML/PHP Dateien ausgezeichnet. Leider öffnet der Editor die Dateien nicht direkt über FTP, dazu muss man den Umweg über FileExplorer gehen. Mir ist das Ding auch ab und an abgestürzt, daher sollte man öfters speichern (Cmd+S). Ich benutze eine externe Tastatur, was einwandfrei funktioniert. Undo kann der Editor nicht, aber das ist in iOS eingebaut (Undo Cmd+Z, Redo Shift+Cmd+Z).

I use it daily to edit a text-based data file that contains about 10,000 words. Lately, I have also started using it to code.
Works great, but three improvements would make it even better: 
1) add a setting to turn off the line length warning
2) ask to save the file before exiting
3) add a keyboard shortcut to move to the EOF (for example, control+down arrow)

An sich ist Runestone für mich der perfekte Editor. Gerade wenn man mal schnell eine Text-Datei erstellen will. Am iPad kann man durch das native Fenster-Management sich zwei Runestone-Fenster nebeneinander anzeigen. Am iPhone geht das leider nicht, daher wäre eine Tab-Funktion nicht schlecht um z.B. zwei Dateien gleichzeitig in verschiedenen Tabs zu öffnen.

Fühlt sich sehr Premium an. Qualitativ ein Traum. Habe die App schon eine ganze Weile. Eigentlich nutze ich sie kaum, weil ich stattdessen einfach Apple Notes nutze... ich behalte sie aber trotzdem, um doch so manchen Text in Plain Text zu verfassen, einfach nur weil es sich so gut anfühlt, diese App zu nutzen. Und ich mache mir die Mühe eine gute Bewertung zu schreiben. Beides sagt sehr viel aus und gleicht einem riesen Lob. Danke sehr dem Entwickler! Und dann auch noch kostenlos - großartig! Danke sehr.

Leider hängt die App sich ständig auf, ein bearbeiten von Texten ist nicht möglich.
Manchmal hängt die App schon direkt beim Starten. Da ist dringender Nachholbedarf.

Es gibt ja so einige. Einige betagt, viele umständlich und fast alle sind irgendwie nicht so wirklich an die Bedürfnisse von iOS angepasst.

Runestone ist anders. Es ist schnell. Ja, wirklich. Es lädt sehr große Dokumente ohne sich zu verschlucken. Es lädt und schreibt Dateien von und zur Dateien App.

Je nachdem ob iPhone oder iPad passt sich die App an. Es gibt darüber hinaus eine schiere Fülle von Einstellungen um das Verhalten des Editors an die eigenen Bedürfnisse anzupassen.

Installiert, 5 Minuten getestet und Premium geklickt. Insta-Buy. Von dem Entwickler gibt es ja noch diverse andere, sehr gute Apps für Entwickler.
