All text sections in Scrivener are fully integrated with its outlining tools, so working with an overview of your manuscript is only ever a tap away, and turning Chapter Four into Chapter One is as simple as drag and drop.

Need to refer to research? In Scrivener, your background material is always at hand. Write a description based on a photograph. Reference a video or PDF. Check for consistency with an earlier chapter. On the iPad, open two documents side-by-side; on the iPhone, flip between research and writing with just two taps.

Once you’re ready to share your work with the world, simply compile everything into a single document for printing, or export to popular formats such as Word, PDF, Final Draft or plain text. You can even share using different formatting, so that you can write in your favorite font and still keep your editor happy.

### **--- "Problem with the return (enter) button"
Problematic and lacking. Better than docs but sometimes still lacking and buggy. At first it was working fine. I heard good things about scrivener but found that the version I have in my 2018 ipad pro is missing so many features that are supposed to be there.

But it was fine for awhile. However, just today I realized Scrivener wouldn’t allow me to press return (enter) which is a terrible problem because almost every kind writing requires it. It’s not a hardware problem because all the other apps are functioning just fine. Scrivener was the only one bugging.

This is one of my favorite writing apps, but it’s a bit lacking compared to the Mac version. It would be better if it has templates for other forms of writing such as poetry, screenplay, etc.

I've tried just about every writing app worth trying in the App Store (iA Writer, Ulysses, Byword, etc) and this stands above them all. There is a slight learning curve, but once you get the hang of its features, you'll wonder how you got by without it. Write a lot? Get this app.
