Seed Oil Scout: Healthy Dining

Thought this app was a free service, wasted 10mins answering questions. At the end pops up the price of the app screen. Why not be transparent and inform us before save time.. DELETED ☹️

Not worth signing up to the membership (£34) or keeping the app on my phone when there are only 4 ‘seed oil free’ restaurants in the whole of the UK/London. They should have waited for way more option to pop up before releasing the app in the UK. It’s a shame as the idea is great. But once you know which restaurants are safe theres no need for the app after browsing. Also the colour scheme and general UI is not that pleasant on the eyes and looks rather dated.

I signed up but there’s hardly any options in the UK. Needs more development before charging that amount.

Can’t even use the app with the free version. Upon downloading you have to enrol for trial of the pro version, no option to skip or just use free version. Who wants to pay 35+ per year for an app they haven’t even been able to try yet. Would not reccomend until they get a proper functioning free version

I think this is a good idea if you eat out all the time which I don’t. I occasionally go out to eat so would use this app maybe 6 times a year. I think if consumers were able to feed back to the app what restaurants are friendly maybe it could bring the price down. Or have an option for the app to be free up to so many searches in a year.

I choose to leave a 5 star review to leave a good rapport for this great business idea, so it can get to where it should be as quickly as possible. Not only that, but the philosophy behind the brand speaks for itself and could be a revolutionary app when improved with a wider audience. So the reason I feel it is currently on a 2 star max rating is its lack of value for money (which I forgot to cancel my free trial and was charged £34.99 for an annual membership💀🤦‍♂️) and its current contribution to the market, where I feel that more effort from the people behind the scenes could have done (potentially marking all restaurants in the uk as grey and making it psychologically easier for customers to input their experience with the restaurant, deciding what colour to mark the restaurants with using the markers it provides). I leave this review as constructive criticism and I hope this small business can vastly expand and help people to stay/become more healthy.

Don’t purchase this app if you live outside the US. I’m in England, charged me in Great British Pounds but then only diverted me to places in the US, it did also show where I live in England but then kept diverting me back to the US. Annoying

Wonderful app, but the community driven element is dying out. No matter how much you have contributed you have to pay to see ratings…. Hope developers will find another way

For someone who doesn’t go out because it’s a hassle to scour the menu for seed oils, this app is brilliant.

This app is a life saver for seed oil disrespectors. I’ve found so many good new restaurants through it too.
