Seekr: Radio, Podcasts & More

I give Rogers a lot of credit for what they’ve built with Seekr. I’m 5 minutes in and the experience is intuitive with large, easy to read icons. Thanks for providing access to 🇨🇦Canadian content!

Wow is this an ever a disappointment. Not only do you have to choose your country, but then after that you only get what’s in that region. There’s not even a search bar to type in the station or podcast you want. Plus, not a good favourite’s section. I can think of several types of apps like this one that are a lot better. This app really needs a lot of improvement.

This app cuts out multiple times. If you switch from Wi-Fi to cell phone network it drops. I thought maybe it was the phone too far from the Bluetooth but no, I can set it on top of the speaker and it’s still drop. Normally when it comes to music, you want the base to drop but not the entire app.

I find the app randomly stops and then I have to restart it to get it playing again. It happens when my phone switches between data and wifi but other apps are able to adapt to the switch and continue to play.

Please add the following: 1. Add an option to play the pinned station right away and automatically when launching the app. People who don’t like the option can disable it. 2. Add dark mode 3. Support Car Play—I suppose you do want listeners to tune in your stations while driving.

Maybe I’m missing it, but there is no place to search for a station and only being able to pin 1 station is not helpful for those of us who have varying music tastes. App also randomly closes down on its own, stops playing and is delayed from live play.

Have to close and reopen it frequently. The play won’t restart after even a short pause. I pause play for work meetings and I always have to close and restart every time. Radioplayer is better but they have long startup ads.

This app seems to be great for listening to your favourite stations and podcasts, but unfortunately you can’t use it in your car. Once your phone is connected to your car, Seekr only has one volume - 11! It’s so loud that I almost had an accident trying to shut it down. None of the volume controls worked on the car or on the phone.

Title says it all. Really, add CarPlay support and it can replace Radioplayer app.

Consistently looses connection, I have to close the app clear the stored app then relaunch it. Hard to do if you are driving.
