Great content, weak app
The app needs work. Constantly complains about lost connectivity when connection is good and each article hangs at loading screen until you specify article mode. The articles though are world class

Skeptical Inquirer is the official journal of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry. On a bimonthly basis, Skeptical Inquirer publishes critical scientific evaluations of paranormal and fringe-science claims and informed discussion of all relevant issues.

Skeptical Inquirer has been called a "spokesman for rationality," serious but highly readable," "witty and informative," and a "steady buoy in the tumultuous sea of irrationality." Its contributors have included Isaac Asimov, Martin Gardner, Carl Sagan, Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins, and hundreds of other scholars and investigators worldwide.
In addition to in-depth feature articles, special reports, up to date news and comment, book reviews and investigations on a wide variety of topics, Skeptical Inquirer has a stellar stable of regular columnists including Joe Nickell (“Investigative Files”), Massimo Polidoro (“Notes on a Strange World”), Massimo Pigluicci (“Thinking About Science”), Robert Sheaffer (“Psychic Vibrations”), and SI managing editor Benjamin Radford's reader-driven (“The Skeptical Inquiree”).

This is a free app download. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues.
Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

Brilliant
Quite simply the best Skeptical resource. Essential reading if you are a human being and have a brain.
Good but….
The content of this magazine is thought provoking, well written, informative and generally enjoyable to read. The app on the other hand is ok unless you rotate the iPad from portrait to landscape. Then you can’t see the bottom of the page and no amount of fiddling will adjust it. You have to go back to the home page, reenter the issue, scroll to the page you want and then you can see the entire page. Very annoying.
Buggy
I really wanted this app to work well, but it was a massive battery drain and it also kept constantly giving me message that it “could not connect to network.“ I’m not quite sure if I will try to get my money back for the subscription, because I love the magazine.
Required Reading for Every Human
Every high school and university should require students to take a course that focuses on this publication. The world would be a better, more reasonable place.

Unable to restore purchases
After upgrading to the most recent app release, my past issue downloads are unavailable, and I am unable to download the latest issue. Trying Restore Purchases does nothing. I purchased a 1 year subscription through iTunes, but at this time, it appears to be worthless.

The only thing that would make this better would be if Skeptical Inquirer was published more frequently.

First. I love the magazine. I was so very happy to have it in my newsstand But Refuses to down load entire issue. Text reader doesnt work. Reloaded app And logged in. Same problem. I just bought a year issue and i feel as if i have been ripped off. A total waste of money
No articles are available
They aren't kidding. You are just downloading a blank app. There isn't even a single preview article to read. Worthless.
