SmartRace for Carrera Digital

What a great app, thanks. Much better to use this than the standard digital counters and displays. Makes the whole racing experience come to life. Would be good if the championship was part of the main app and not as an add on. Happy to pay extra for weather and damage and VSC etc but championship seems like it should fit into the main functionality. Any chance it could some how detect when a car has come off the track and deploy VSC automatically? I guess not, but would be awesome if it did.

Let me say before I start with the review that Iv only had my Carrera Track for a day and Iv only played with the app for a couple of hours and I’m sure after a number of days playing with the app my star rating would go up. My main gripe and the three stars is there is no YouTube videos or literature I can find to help me set it up. For example when I try to use the app, when I start a race it come up with a warning message on the app, something about 100% fuel. Also I’m running a ghost car which after many times of trying that I think Iv worked out has to be setup on controller 8, but who knows cause there is no where for me to read up or find out about it. This app is comprehensive and for someone that’s new to having a Carrera Track and SmartRace app needs some How to videos put up on YouTube by the good folks that have developed this app and/or a pdf manual you can download.

Well after getting a Carrera appconect device is was excited to use it. Unfortunately the Carrera app is very lacking and some features do not work reliably. I was about to get shot of the appconect unit ........ Then I stumbled across this excellent app. Well worth £25+ IMHO. It's everything the Carrera app should have been and more. Connects fast ,easy to use and it displays all 6 cars (unlike the Carrera app that only shows top 3). If you want to get the most out of your appconect device download this app today. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Ich kann SmartRace für die Carrera Bahn absolut nur empfehlen. Ich benutze sie seit 3 Jahren und sie ist immer besser und ständig weiterentwickelt worden. Sehr zu empfehlende App. Umfangreiche Ausstattung. Intuitiv zu bedienen. Und wenn man ein Problem hat, das meist nicht an der App liegt, funktioniert der Support schnell und lösungsorientiert. Die App hat den Spaß an meiner Bahn sehr erheblich gesteigert. Ray

Smart Race Connect stellt keine Verbindung zum Server her. Leider für analoge Bahnen nicht nutzbar.

Leider erfährt man erst nach dem Kauf der App, dass für die Verwendung mit einer Carrera Go Bahn einmonatliches Abo abgeschlossen werden muss.

Nach 12 Jahren mit CockpitXP bin ich nun vollständig auf Smartrace gewechselt. Wir betreiben derzeit 4 Carrera-Digital-Bahnen, die wir im monatlichen Wechsel mit 12 Freunden befahren. Die App bietet einen grundsoliden und stabilen Rennbetrieb. Für Einzelfahrer und Spielkinder gibt es genug Spielereien, wie Schadens- und Wettersimulationen etc. Das grösste Plus…..und dafür müsste man eigentlich einen 6. Stern vergeben ist die Möglichkeit die App auch auf dem Mac zu betreiben. Absolut genial. so konnte ich die Software mit einem betagten Macbook wieder in meine Bahn integrieren und bin nicht auf mein iPadPro angewiesen. Danke für diese Bereicherung.
