I do not often write reviews but this is ridiculous. I was ok with this laggy, glitchy, slow app but after I just moved my router two meters away it became completely unusable: “cannot play content it is not encoded correctly” error each time I change the volume level. Seriously???

Volume control takes centuries to load. Sometimes i need to restart app to be able to control volume. Developers, did you try to use your own app?  How is this possible to release such a bad app nowadays?

I didn’t think it was possible, but after the recent update the app works even worse than it did before. At least it’s now more reliable in a sense, because I can always rely on it failing to find my speakers when I launch it. Closing and relaunching the app a few times might make it finally see them, so it’s also functional, in its own way.

I can’t understand how this app can have such a good rating. Decided to write a review because it’s not fair. I think they revoke bad reviews

Sonos will raise expectations to the sky and then it occurs everything promised is actually not possible.
- their wifi connection instead of bluetooth (that has no interruptions like BT) is a joke and every time you pause content the video will stop while audio continue playing for 2 more seconds. Want smooth? Buy their special router to connect you precious speakers to it (please check before buying, not sure if it really helps). And yes, they make speakers with Bluetooth finally! Just pay one more time ha!
- Sonos also promotes their super-duper app with some cool functions, but don’t forget they can’t compete with Spotify or any other company that specialized on it. Nature, baby
- Oh, their great manuals. Every time it takes 2-3 hours of setting up with support every time you’ve decided to move to another apartment. Because it just impossible to setup with just instincts, and even with the help of their manual, it has so many exceptions so in the end you write to chat support.
- and finally their speakers just very very smart, so smart that in 2 years Sonos will change app so you will use old app that has limited functions. Then please spend money buying a new one. I expected this and my purchase was weighted but I did not expected that only 2 years, I thought at least 6

I have set up of arc, 2 one sl and sub mini. A lot of netflix and apple tv content is impossible to watch due to terribly loud action scenes and very low volume dialogue. Speech enchantment almost useless and only night mode makes it not so bad. But this mode is “overdoing” this job for day time. Found myself all time adjusting volume/settings when watching netflix/apple tv… Complete disaster for its price

I love my Sonos speaker, it sounds really good in comparison with other speakers of the same size, but seems it so useless for me because I cannot stream music right from my Apple Music or Broadcast, it makes me really sad.

### *---- "Quite a limited app with a poor User Experience"
The speaker idea with own app feelks like smth from 10 years ago. You can’t just stream music from your phone’s apps, instead you can only stream music from the Sonos own app. The app’s UX is rather complicated and UI is just ugly. The apps don’t replicate full functionality of the apps you used to. For eg, I can’t listen to my playlists from Deezer, instead I have to build playlists in the Sonos app from scratch!!! Alexa does not recognize many simple Alexa commands - the voice assistants commands design is not very intuitive. Overall: this product is very expensive for the poor experience it provides. Do not recommend. I got it as a gift but would not buy it myself.
