SSH Tunnel - with SOCKS5 proxy

Это «замечательное» приложение не умеет работать в фоне, что сводит его полезность к 0. Ах да, разработчик об этом «забыл» предупредить.

Whenever a connection closes abruptly, I can't reopen it, because the local port remains busy. On a mac/linux machine the typical workaround is to find the dead connection using `ps aux | grep ssh` and kill the hanging ssh process, but here I have to restart the iPad or wait for the system to kill the process. Update: I've raised the score to 4 stars, because this seems to be the only app capable of maintaining an SSH tunnel in the background (almost?) indefinitely, as long as the internet connection is stable. I would've given it 5 starts if it were not for the aforementioned issue.

I like: - Socks proxy works in background, I can access corporate sites from Safari, no need to switch to some dedicated browser. - it provides proxy auto-configuration URL (suitable to paste into WiFi settings). Could you please support -C (compression) option ? Thanks a lot!

Use this app for tunneling VNC traffic, works as desired. The only issue is a private key parsing, spent some time before discovered that end line in the end of key file is essential. Использую для проброса траффика VNC, работает как надо. Единственный момент - это чтение файла с приватным ключом, потратил некоторое время, прежде чем сообразил, что отсутсвие символа конца строки может приводить к ошибке авторизации.

Трафик идёт нормально, сбоев не обнаружено.

Just works

This is an amazing little utility that makes it possible to create an ssh tunnel to your server. I set it up to have an ssh tunnel with port 1880, so I could open up a rednode session to my server just by pointing Safari to local at port 1880 on my iPad Pro. I can create as many ssh tunnels as I want, to different ports and different servers. It is much easier to set up than with Terminal on my Mac. The developer is very helpful, I made a mistake in my setup, and he helped me in a few hours to pinpoint my mistake. I have no problem in recommending this app.

due to apple restrictions it can’t run in background. If you switch to another app it will close the connection within 30 seconds. Thus making it useless if you want to use the tunnel for other apps. Makes me wonder why configure the wi-fi proxy at all if you can only use the built in-browser. I gave it 3 stars not because the app is not what i need but because I wish there was a note indicating the Apple restrictions and the fact it close the connection within 30 seconds. That would have been a nice to know before paying the $7.99 the app costs.

Dear developer; Please update this app for iOS 16, otherwise we can not use it on iPhone with iOS 16. I would like to use it in iPhone, to totally send all traffic through ssh tunnel. But this is not possible now. Hope you update the app, and resolve problems in iOS 16. Best regards.
