As a streaming service Stan is great, although a little expensive the content is fantastic and the live sport is also great. 
But the app itself is terrible, always freezing and often dropping out. This is especially bad when streaming live sport.

Used to love Stan, but now the sound constantly cuts out, impossible to get through show without subtitles, which is just annoying.

Have tried turning devices off and on, redownloading app, different network connections, locations.

It is simply just an issue with the app. Disappointing as I had just renewed my membership when it started. Safe to say I won’t be renewing it again!

### *---- "Expensive and Unreliable Sports Streaming – Not Worth It!"
I recently subscribed to Stan because I wanted to watch the UEFA Champions League, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating.

First of all, why do I have to pay twice? A $12 monthly subscription fee plus an additional $15 for Stan Sport—while other providers only charge once. This pricing structure feels ridiculous. If Stan wants to offer sports, why not just create a separate platform called “Stan Sport” instead of forcing users to pay an unnecessary extra fee?

Second, when I tried to watch a live match, the play button didn’t even show up—both on the website and the app. I switched to my laptop, hoping it would work, but still nothing. I had already paid for the service, yet I couldn’t even access what I paid for. Finally, after 43 minutes of frustration, I checked again, and suddenly it started working. But by then, I had already missed half the match!

For a football game that lasts only 90 minutes, missing half of it is unacceptable. Stan’s pricing model is unfair, and their streaming service is unreliable. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free sports streaming experience.

Stan gotta be one of the worst subscriptions I’ve ever got when it comes to watching sports game. There have been multiple time where the screen just goes to blank while I was watching Europa league games and today 12/3/2025, Barcelona vs Benfica game started 6:45 am .
It’s now 5:30 and we are still not able to watch it cause they haven’t put the game on

Keeps implying my connection is lost, however it only happens to this App on my smart TV. I switch off my TV at the wall wait a few minutes switch it back on and the App works again, however crashes 30min later.  Expensive App for something that crashes. I just need to watch the rest of my programme then I will be cancelling the subscription.

If you’re buying Stan for the live stream sports DON’T bother. It lags, glitches, freezes and many time just crashes. It’s not my internet connection or smart TV as the Stan support will try to convince you. All my other streaming services are great. Stan is very POOR

Worst streaming app out of all of them. Not a great selection of shows that are interesting. I have PRIME and that has better shows. New shows are very rare, they hardly refresh. We will be cancelling now that we have finished tattooist of auschwitz which is why we signed up and was the only decent show on there.
