Big minus for this mobile version!!! -- tolstyjblyat, 2022-08-02 ### ***** "A classic 'Good Old Game'" The force is strong with this one. Many players vow this is the best game in the universum. This is partly nostalgia, as the game aged considerably and in many ways doesn't live to todays standards, but there definitely is a kernel of truth to this. The first thing to know is, this game is quite old. It could buy alcohol in most places. This shows in the graphics, but even more so in tiny locations, mostly of the then typical 'canyon maze' variety. The second thing to know, this is a quite close adaptation of the pen and paper DnD 3.0 ruleset. This means complex level-ups and many stats to a character, skills, feats, force powers which level ups which aren't explained well in the game. To play anything above normal difficulty or to correctly assess an item's power for example, you should be familiar with the basics from somehere else, such as a game wiki. Another consequence is that combat, while having the appearance of reactive and real time, is in fact turn based and happens using dice rolls against those stats and all actions you pick are queued; shown blaster shots do not translate one to one to actual attacks made, for example. Also, true to the Bioware formula of RPGs, there are quite a few puzzles, thinly disguised as something plausible for the universum. The third thing to know, despite three classes being available at character creation, you will switch to a Jedi later, no matter what. You can theoretically be stubborn and play as a scoundrel gun slinger if you really want, but this is stretching the story and definitely suboptimal. As a final note, some small portion of the game are dexterity based and play awfully with touch controls. Swoop races are mostly optional (and boring anyway), but occasionaly you'll have to man your ship's turrets and, depending how used you are to this kind of touch mechanic, can be an annoying departure from the game's style. I wish there was a second difficulty setting for those actions. The story is good, although not great, and has more than it's fair share of tropes, particularily at least three quasi-McGuffins, and 'the fate ofthe galaxy lies in your hands', obviously. It is redeemed by a quite good and unexpected, but logical, reveal in the later portion ofthe game. Overall, the game is good, but not for everyone - you really need to be either the fan of the universum or classic CRPGs. Nie da sie jej zatrzymac do momentu jak dotrze do skrzyni. Non stop przypadkiem wchodze w interakcje z npcami. Kotor to klasyk z dziecinstwa, ale sterowanie niestety spartaczone.
