Phenomenal app

StoryShots is just a great app. It doesn’t only give you a brief summary of a book but the killer feature is getting additional summaries and YouTube videos and interviews, etc. specific to the respective book. This makes it incredible useful in particular for important books. And pricing is super fair. It’s a lifetime deal and you don’t have to constantly think about subscribing, unsubscribing, subscribing, unsubscribing, etc.. HIGHLY recommended! Cheers from Germany

There are quite a few apps which provide book summaries, but I fell in love with this one. I've compared them using membership trials and I've liked Story Shots' summaries best. If you add the ability to listen to audio versions, see infographics, watch summary videos and the possibility of a lifetime membership for a fair price, it's really easy to see why I like Story Shots the best. One thing I would love for the app to get is an overhaul of the reading experience with features like left aligning text, making paragraph spacing smaller, making text even bigger and increasing dark mode contrast. Those are all nitpicks and don't detriment from the value, especially since I can read the web version where the formatting is almost perfect.

StoryShots is a simple app, it provides readers the opportunity to enjoy relatively short summaries of many bestselling books. Their “Serendipity Feed”, which is a visually attractive suggestion feed of books which you may want to read, is a smart feature which invites you to consider reading a book that you wouldn’t usually pick up. Generally, the summaries which I have read where well written. Some books are unfortunately unfinished - this is understandable, it’s a small team. The app seems to be a combination of app and Web-app which can be a turn off for some users. A premium version exists too, without ads and a host of other features @ 22€ for a lifetime subscription. Absolutely unbeatable! I bought the premium, lifetime subscription because I want to support small companies who try so hard to create value for us, the customers. I highly recommend you give StoryShots a....shot and if you like it, consider supporting them and get the premium subscription.

The trial charged me

The trial charged me and they refused to make it right, blaming it on Apple. Call it what you want. Your app charged me when it said trial. This level of service will cost the company more than the price of refunding it. Their response to my review is inaccurate. I contacted them numerous times after I was charged and they were never willing to help.

Just creating an account itself a big trouble forget about using the app.

Got charged for the trial - no support

I signed up for the trial. It charged me full price that day. Apple wouldn’t refund. I also contacted the company. They would not help either. Their response states they are willing to try to resolve the issue, but I have been in contact with them, and they are not.
