How to start with Stryd: New to Stryd? This app requires the Stryd pod in order to use the app. Already have Stryd? You can sign in with your Stryd account, pair your pod, and get started with the app. Perfect Pacing During Every Run: Stryd accounts for your speed, slope, run form, fatigue, and wind to deliver perfect, precise, and painless pacing. This is accomplished with the Stryd pod. The pod is filled with motion & environmental sensors that comprehensively determine your running effort in nearly every running condition. Initially, the app appears user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing, but it severely lacks essential features and fine-tuning. The available training plans are dull and difficult to adjust, and the onboarding process is unhelpful, failing to establish a reliable auto-critical power baseline. The real issues began a few weeks into using the product. The foot pod is supposed to calculate your power and pace during runs, providing haptic feedback through your watch when you stray from your power zones. However, I started encountering significant problems when I paused my run at a traffic light. Since then, the power and pace readings frequently drop to inexplicably low values, rendering the feedback useless. Despite reaching out to Stryd's customer service multiple times and providing detailed run data showcasing these issues, I received nothing but a generic FAQ page insisting that their product is infallible. They only responded to one of my runs that had no issues, dismissing my concerns entirely. The inconsistency and inaccuracy in the readings are frustrating, especially when my watch buzzes incessantly, showing a pace of 10min/km when I'm actually running at 5:30min/km. The customer service has been abysmal. Despite sending multiple complaints and clearly documenting the issues, I've received no meaningful support or resolution. It’s incredibly disappointing to pay a substantial amount for the foot pod and an additional monthly subscription of 10 euros, only to receive zero support when things go wrong. Save your money and time.
