Was told I will be able to read the article for free after the app installed. After the app installed something like “article unlocked” message displayed but still not able to read (need to pay). Disappointing. Otherwise good service.

The app is forcing me to subscribe to notifications. I don’t want that.
J’ai rarement vu une navigation aussi laborieuse, et je rejoins totalement les avis des autres utilisateurs : retrouver et parcourir l’historique des articles de ses abonnements est une véritable purge, l’application ne proposant pas de tri ou de liste complète (il faut défiler, charger, defiler, charger, défiler, charger…). Énorme perte de temps et d’énergie… Les développeurs font la part belle aux 5 ou 10 dernières publications récentes et surtout, aux recommandations d’articles et de comptes qui envahissent toute l’application. On dirait que je suis abonné à tout Substack ! Enfin, le lecteur vidéo est franchement perfectible et peu réactif : changer l'orientation de son appareil, c’est s’assurer d’obtenir un écran noir pendant des dizaines de seconde, de devoir relancer la lecture plusieurs fois, et pour une raison qui m’échappe, de devoir réactiver le son. Pénible ! Bref… si on est très content de retrouver ses abonnements dans une application dédiée, celle-ci n’est franchement pas à la hauteur des prétentions de Substack, qui se veut être le repère de l’intelligentsia. Y’a du boulot…
