Both an enlightening and depressing read
The only clear winners after 200 days would appear to be Landlords - a well represented lobby group within the Coalition Government.
Dirty and underhanded
I clicked the link in a Substack email I subscribed to saying “you unlocked this free post” only to be told to download the app to unlock it. I download the app only to be told that to read it I would also have to give my phone number. Who knows what they’d have wanted next. Very dirty and underhanded, so I’ve decided to delete my app, my account, and never use substack again.
Clear and informative
Increasingly depressing to see what’s happening in a very short time with the blame being constantly directed at the previous government .
Wisdom should be shared
When we find something interesting, helpful or just uplifting/funny it should be shared. SubStack is the easiest way to spread the good words and great ideas. BM
The Kaka
Really love Bernard Hickey and his intelligent in depth analysis of the economy and NZ and international political situation. His Thursday Hoon is particularly good with a very cordial witty and serious interchange with experts on their field and excellent analysis. The Dawn Chorus each day is addictive and educational so much better than main stream political discourse. 10 plus stars for me. Sigrid Campbell

Bug fix needed
Subscriber count doesn’t toggle off in the app like it does on desktop.
