Нерабочий мусор
При переходе из веб-версии не открываются статьи. Просматривать посты невозможно - требует подтвердить номер телефона, этот функционал сломан.
Баги
Не могу подтвердить номер своего телефона из-за бага с отправкой СМС. Из-за этого не могу прочитать статью бесплатно, ради чего и качал приложение. Приложение не справляется со своей единственной целью 👎🏼
A bit dishonest
Was told I will be able to read the article for free after the app installed. After the app installed something like “article unlocked” message displayed but still not able to read (need to pay). Disappointing. Otherwise good service.
This app is fire
Fantastic finding for a romantic with deep interest for humanities. Full of gems. Witing tips, inspiration and great examples at hand. Thanks a million.
Full of bugs
I wanted to claim the free post provided on one the newsletter. Substack requires phone verification for this. The form is broken to submit phone numbers. Sure, I will raise a bug report. But the bug report form is also broken.
Awful for reading
Substack is great in the Mac for writing. But I can’t recommend the reader app to readers because all these months later it still forces one single tiny font on you which makes it much harder to read articles than in the browser. The headline is in a good sans font then the body is in tiny Times font. It’s an app for READING isn’t it? So why on earth isn’t there any option to select between a couple of font styles and sizes? It makes me think the developers don’t use it themselves or does everyone except me just like tiny Times font? In iPhone it’s NEVER used, so what gives? Please fix this?

Great content with awful nagging app
So many great authors on substack. Too bad the app developers have chosen to make it a giant tool for annoying email spam notifications OR nag you constantly in the app for notifications. I don’t want my attention stolen and diverted like this - respect that. Stop popping up requesting I turn on notifications. It’s gross and annoying and there’s no way to turn it off. It’s completely antithetical to what they preach as a business.
Substack still freezes when…
When adding a new subscription, this app freezes on iPhone, necessitating offloading and reinstalling every time.
