SuperGold app makes it quick and easy to find golden opportunities to save money every day. There are thousands of instant discounts and special offers on essential expenses like food, fuel, travel, retail and healthcare.  

SuperGold is a handy app for a smartphone or tablet.

Explore discounts by category or enter key words to search for a specific item or business. To get the SuperGold discount, you may still need your SuperGold card.   

You can use the app to:

But, when I try to search for local offers, it returns results from all over New Zealand among the local offers. This reduces the usefulness. eg, looking at new offers for Canterbury, it shows Whangaparāoa Lodge,Auckland and Bay Explorer, Tauranga. Plus others. This does not inspire confidence.

For a start you can’t even add your card to the app or a digital wallet so that’s so lazy, and most of the offers are in the main centres, so pointless if you’re living somewhere else. Needs to be bought into this decade and at least provision the card for a digit wallet.  Will improve review rating when that happens.

It appears that the majority of establishments that accept the GC merely look at the card, if at all. 
So, why not have the card in the app so you don’t have to carry yet another card. It doesn’t need to do anything beyond being something to show.
