Taskrabbit - Handyman & more

I tried this app for the first time for cleaning of my home. I booked based on the rate specified rate at $42/hr. The app said they would charge a $7/hour fee for trust and support. The cleaner was great but I was surprised when I got the bill. There was another $7/hour hidden service fee and an undiscussed expense fee of $85. Beware that what you see on the booking page will not be what your actually charged

You would think there's many skilled people here but the reality is that Task rabbit is not checking on installers skills or certification so you can find the same person or better on marketplace

Useless app all the workers (30 workers) canceled on me for a simple ikea assembly

I tried to sign up for work but instead I signed up the have people help me. I tried to sign up to be a tasker and the app won’t let my because my email is already in use. How unintelligent is your developer?

I can use this app on my iPad, but on my iPhone, I have it with an old password saved. If I skip the saved password and try to input manually, my keyboard stops responding, and I can’t input anything. Also, the section for hanging something up as a task needs a separate sun-section for drilling concrete to hang something up, many taskers don’t seem prepared to deal with concrete, and there’s no way to filter for those who are prepared.

Someone recommended this app and I scheduled to task people. Both cancelled that last minute and I adjusted my schedule both times. The fact that there’s no accountability is nonsense but if I missed it, apparently I would’ve been charged those task. People should have more accountability for this app to be useful for someone like me.

Collaboration with Ikea for closet system is ineffective. Complete disaster and frustrating for all involved.

In Ontario don’t work!

Support barely helps in removing scammers on this app. One of them charged me 200$ off the app and then made me give them 5 stars or else they'd charge me more directly on the app.

This app is insanely unstable and doesn’t work half the time. That being said the taskers are great.
