## Tere Description
Tere is a live departures board for Wellington, not a journey planner. It's for commuters who already know their routes and just want to know when the next one arrives, in  under a second.

Tap your home screen. Your journeys are right there, each showing the next three departures live with stops away, delay info, occupancy, and cancellations. Pick one for  the full departure board.

FAST, ON PURPOSE
Tere is named for the te reo Māori word for "swift". The offline timetable is imported once on first launch, so opening a board is instant and doesn't need a  connection. Live data layers on top from Metlink when you're online.

WHAT IT DOES
• Bus, train, ferry, and Cable Car — every mode Metlink runs.
• Search stops by name or stop number.
• Rename stops with your own labels — Work, Home, Gym.
• Hide the route numbers you never take.
• Tap the title on train, ferry, or Cable Car boards to flip direction in one gesture.
• See upcoming and missed trips
• A fully offline route map of just the public transport routes (to keep things snappy).
• Service alerts from Metlink when they affect your favourites.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO
Tere deliberately doesn't plan journeys or give turn-by-turn directions, other apps do that well. Tere answers the question that comes after: when do I need to leave, and  is my bus actually coming?

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No accounts or sign-in.
• No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases.
• No analytics, no crash reporters, no third-party trackers.
• Your routes live only on your device.
