The Candid Frame

Since finding Ibarionex podcast I’ve listened to as many episodes as I can, in the hope to catch up on them all! His easy, comfortable and relaxed manor puts his interviewees at ease and every episode feels like a natural conversation with his guest. Highly recommend to anyone interested in creativity, especially related to photography and no gadget and jargon talk! Just great creative chat.

Week after week, year after year, wonderful in-depth interviews with a diverse and interesting range of great photographers. Ibarionex Perello always gets the best out of them. My all time favorite is Peter Turnley, and I learned a lot from the recent one with Amy Toensing, as well as those with Cheriss May and Idris Solomon, John Isaac, Barbara Peacock and An Rong Xu ... to name but a few.

An absolute must if you are in any way passionate about photography. Ibarionex has an excellent interview approach and effortlessly draws out from the artist jewels about what makes them tick. That’s key, as so many other interviewers out there don’t give the artist an opportunity to talk openly. Listen and learn. 🙏 Ibarionex.

This app is a way to get into the Candid Frame, by far the best photography interview resource. Well done team, it's great.

As a fan of The Candid Frame for a few years now I have always enjoyed and recommended Ibarionex's podcast to other photographers and artists. He is a great interviewer and really gets the interviewee to open up to the viewers. This app makes enjoying the podcast even easier with a dedicated interface and I love the ability to star my favourites as there are several photographers who I can listen to the interviews over again. Only 1 negative come to mind. It is simply the links and such forth in the written blurb aren't clickable or even highlightable (is that a real word?) so that I can view the photographers personal website from the app with a simple jump to the web browser. The work around is I have to pop to the blog post for the links by clicking the little e on the corner. Gordon C Burns

My favorite photographer podcasts all in one place. Listen to them all and learn. My preference is to start in 2006 and move forward while simultaneously listening to the newest episode. There are so so many wonderful nuggets and learnings from almost twenty years ago. Hearing how photography has changed and transformed over this some span is incredible. Insights from masters with different perspectives all in one place is very rare. Enjoy and learn!
