• At rem, engagement translates to direct impact in fighting climate change or hunger. Every time you like, comment, or post, we donate to highly effective charities like Cool Earth and Sanku.
• Each form of engagement has units of impact, where posts have 5 units of impact, and likes and comments have 1 unit of impact each.
• One unit of impact equals one pound of carbon removed or one meal fortified.
• Make in-app donations to charities that are recommended based on your interests and track the impact you have made.

From the aesthetic and easy-to-use interface to the ability to contribute to important causes in a way that even a poor college student can, this app is amazing! It is just so great that they have implemented a social media app type function to this app, enabling us as donors to become more involved. Their informational guides on each charity (that they have verified and support) are more than educational, and I have found a really great new way to do my part as a citizen of the world.

It can be overwhelming and often frustrating to keep track of everything going on, but, with an intuitive feed and connections with connections, Rem has the capability to help you learn about the world around you and help out where you can. Best use of my screen time ever!!
I used to feel bad because I spend so much time on my phone but ever since I started using this app I’ve been feeling great knowing that I’m no longer ‘wasting time’ because this app allows me to help and make a difference by reading and liking others posts and posting my own. It has impressive visuals too and being on it is very informative. I totally 100% recommend this app!!
Great platform for social impact
Overall user friendly, but some parts still need to be developed. I'm excited to see where this goes. Would recommend for anyone looking to make a social impact but doesn't know where to start!
Unfiltered social good
A lot of big social media platforms used to be incredible tools for social good. However , in the current day and age these platforms have become very cluttered with content that take away from a lot of social good movements. I personally saw this with BLM. Rem is a great solution helping to provide a platform that makes it super easy to get involved in social good and Rem also keeps social good at the center of the platform. I have enjoyed using it so far and would totally recommend to others!!
Charity should be a bigger part of daily life, Rem makes that possible
With a simple design reminiscent of of Instagram or Facebook, Rem is taking charity and making it something we all love: social. Whether it’s making donations, finding new causes, or just talking about the things you find important, Rem is the place for it :)

I’ve been searching for a platform that people can use to share and illuminate world issues, especially stories that often get neglected and need to be heard. This is that platform.
The way social media SHOULD be.
I don’t have a FaceBook, Instagram, Snapchat, or Twitter. But rem is an app that made my home screen. The focus on impactful social issues that are important, pertinent, and global is scale makes this a platform for change. Also, the donations to impactful charities is a novel yet simple and effective practice. Excited for new features and updates!
