Every sound has a hidden structure. The Snail reveals its beauty. Watch your music unfold in real time, in a luminous spiral of colour and movement. A voice, a plucked tanpura string, a single piano note: each reveals its own shapes, patterns and surprises. The Snail is a high-precision tuner, a window into sound, and a pleasure to watch. Explore the overtones that give an instrument its character, follow pitch and timbre through a musical phrase, or simply enjoy seeing what you hear. BEAUTY BUILT ON SCIENCE Developed at IRCAM, The Snail brings together years of advanced research in acoustics, physics and mathematics, alongside the study of temperament systems, musical cultures and musicians’ practices around the world. Its interface is unique, designed and built entirely in-house. Years of research into visual design and interaction make the complexity of sound visible, inviting and useful. Scientific depth meets the pleasure of discovery. Different traditions hear, name and organise pitch differently. The Snail gives you ways to explore those differences — and to work with the references that matter to your music. THREE WAYS TO SEE • Snail View reveals frequencies on an octave spiral, showing a note and its partials together. • Tuner View helps you make fine pitch adjustments with a rotating, colour-changing indicator. • Score View places frequency components on a musical staff, with optional quarter-tone notation. TUNE TO YOUR MUSICAL WORLD Go beyond equal temperament. Explore just intonation, Pythagorean tuning and scales from other musical traditions. Adjust the pitch reference and set the tonic to suit your instrument, ensemble or repertoire. LISTEN, LOOK, DISCOVER Sing, play, or open an audio file. See how a gentle touch differs from a strong attack, how a voice shapes a vowel, or why two instruments playing the same note sound so different. Choose Bubble or Classic presentation, adjust the display, and save your settings as presets. A left-handed layout keeps controls comfortable to reach. For musicians, singers, teachers, students, sound designers—and curious ears of every age. No specialist knowledge required. Just bring a sound. The Snail doesn’t judge your sound. It invites you to discover it. ## The Snail 3 Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/07/ff/b4/07ffb42f-e80b-e878-71a2-ade1f6b76d4a/v3_ios_portrait_snail_bubble_1260x2736.png/1260x2736.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/0d/0d/5e/0d0d5eb9-a449-6851-f6b1-09ea298eb0a4/v3_ios_landscape_all_2736x1260.png/2736x1260.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/69/39/d0/6939d028-1f7d-09a3-55b7-67cc954d8ca3/v3_ios_portrait_menu_1260x2736.png/1260x2736.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/8c/e0/bf/8ce0bf95-d855-b282-32c2-01d8f8501e9f/v3_ios_portrait_snail_classic_1260x2736.png/1260x2736.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/8d/a3/2d/8da32ddb-44e9-9e06-f09a-33a4b7537935/v3_ios_portrait_settings_temperaments_1260x2736.png/1260x2736.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/38/a0/90/38a09006-77dc-675b-3d54-4f4f9f6245d2/v3_ios_portrait_settings_1260x2736.png/1260x2736.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/01/36/a7/0136a7a6-d8f6-7a65-eeee-a2f6075b256a/v3_ios_portrait_tuner_player_1260x2736.png/1260x2736.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/24/4f/fb/244ffb34-d64c-b762-c7dd-dec240087ceb/v3_ios_portrait_score_1260x2736.png/1260x2736.png) ## The Snail 3 Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Топ платных | Германия | Music | #13 | | Топ платных | Финляндия | Music | #16 | | Топ платных | Финляндия | Overall | #63 | | Топ платных | Франция | Music | #68 | | Топ платных | Соединенные Штаты | Music | #93 | | Топ по доходу | Финляндия | Music | #96 | | Топ платных | Германия | Overall | #117 | ## Apps Similar to The Snail 3 - [GyroSynth](https://apptail.io/ru/app/gyrosynth-wpae/finland) - [HyVibe](https://apptail.io/ru/app/hyvibe-dyag/finland) - [DM3 StageMix](https://apptail.io/ru/app/dm3-stagemix-srdm/finland) - [DM7 StageMix](https://apptail.io/ru/app/dm7-stagemix-Rqfn/finland) - [Stem Split - AI Vocal Remover](https://apptail.io/ru/app/stem-split-ai-vocal-remover-MMXu/finland) - [EffectDeck](https://apptail.io/ru/app/effectdeck-YljC/finland) ## The Snail 3 Available In - [Финляндия](https://apptail.io/ru/app/the-snail-3-oNkD/finland) - [Франция](https://apptail.io/ru/app/the-snail-3-oNkD/france) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io/ru) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
