A giant step backwards
Unfortunately this iteration of the App is worse than the prior App and has at least 2 critical features which actually do not work. Firstly, you cannot increase the font size and the preset font size is too small. Secondly, the bottom ‘bar’ which enables you to check content and jump to an article very rarely works. The ‘bar’ is almost always unavailable and cannot be accessed. Please bring back the previous version which was flawless. If it ain’t broke….
A good thing, ruined
My favourite weekly read, ruined by a very silly update. Just one example of what’s been messed up - no index to the magazine and every time opened you’re forced back to your last position. Is this for real?
Perfect Amount /Relevant content
I thoroughly enjoy this magazine and will recommend it to anyone looking for UK political news presented in a concise yet humorous way. General articles are just as informative. Overall a well put together magazine for a busy person.

Why have they gone and messed up this app?
The organisation of this app has recently been modified in a way that makes reading the magazine from Cover to Cover impossible. Recommended articles appear annoyingly within each writing. Encouraging you to leave the article you are reading and dive off somewhere different. Up Next is used improperly to guide you to articles that do not appear next in the, order. Overall, I will now consider stopping my subscription to this magazine. Such a shame when the previous version works so well.
great when travelling
this app give the best of both worlds - the usual great Speccie articles and the latest news. It means we get to the full Spectator experience when travelling. well worth having
Worthy and sensible
The Spectator is one of the very last print media that still has anything intelligent to say. Almost all the rest of the legacy press has degenerated into cocktails of mindless mush and clickbait — and that includes the big names that were once the newspapers and journals of record.
Why The Spectator?
Intelligent, pithy, challenging, amusing and ultimately informative. What more can you ask for?
