### *---- "Spacial audio is unusable"
Playback of atmos tracks (at least via Apple TV) is unusable. Tracks are mastered 15-20dB below stereo tracks. 

I have a reference atmos cinema, where 0dB (my volume limit) is at cinema reference which this cinema is calibrated to. Stereo music at -10dB is loud (0dB is heading towards concert level). Movies are typically played at -10 to -5dB. 

Now Tidal atmos music at 0dB (max volume) is quiet so very little bass, and obviously crushed dynamic range. 

I’ve since found this is a well documented problem with Tidal not just on Apple TV but other hardware platforms. 

Not such problem with the native music service. 

Skip this service if you want to ever use spacial music.

I have reported a problem whereby when I select the next track I wish to play it replayed the last track again on iPad. Reported this 3 months ago and still not fixed. What am I paying for. Looking elsewhere for something better.

Having high quality audio is great, but when it sounds as flat as a pancake on anything but audiophile headphones its not really much use is it… Please give it a proper EQ so people with regular equipment can enjoy it.

Not to mention the ‘developer responses’ in the reviews that just restate the issue and say to go to a URL. Very poor experience.

I’ve had Tidal for a number of years, but I’m about to leave and go to Spotify. There are a number irritating quirks/bugs/design flaws that make this app infuriating. These issues are raised in these reviews by multiple customers, but notice how Tidal replies to almost none of them. Tidal just ignores its customers. And it’s paying the price with lower market-share because people like me just leave. I have emailed support, detailing several of these problems but the replies that come back indicate the recipient can’t read English or is not prepared to take the time to understand the issue.

The music quality is great, and this is almost a good app. The bugs let it down. The Apple CarPlay app is useless and has to be controlled from the phone or it simply can’t see your music - the top 50 tracks in a playlist is all that’s ever usable from the car. I was working with that… but I went to all the trouble of downloading my songs, which bugged out and broke a few times, then got on a plane. The first flight I had music… the second it decided I’d logged out and therefore had nothing downloaded. I had no music the whole flight. The app I was using before has never logged me out unexpectedly and I’ve had music on many flights without issue. 

I wanted so badly to like you guys, but this service needs real work to be worth using.

### ****- "First rate sound, some minor flaws"
I love the high resolution quality of the audio files. The selection is great- rarely can’t find what I want. The ‘suggestions’ algorithm is pretty good. My only problem is that both the app (on iOS) and using Tidal Connect are very unstable and often freeze when skipping/scrubbing tracks - often even requiring a reboot. It does not seem to have this problem if you just listen to a playlist or such without much interaction with the user interface. Despite this I have stuck with Tidal for a few years now, and have no intention of cancelling.

I mainly use the Tidal app on an iPad where the interface looks amazing.  High quality streams fire directly to my streamer and audiophile quality HiFi system.  Sound quality is superb with a minimum of CD quality being streamed and often higher.  Great channel separation, soundstage and depth are all there in spades.  So refreshing after the never ending changes to Apple Music, where music suddenly disappears (yes, even the music I’ve ripped myself into it), patchy sound quality and other glitches. Never going backl!

You can’t block a track from playing in any playlist, only its original one. There’s no gapless play options. I want to use this but it’s just so uncomfortable :(
I really want to use it - i think it’s probably Spotify’s strongest competitor which I don’t want to use. But it’s so stressful hearing songs I’ve already blocked and wakes me during my sleep playlist without the gapless/crossover option.
Please  let me know when these are fixed because I’ll sign up straight away!

Moved across when Neil young pulled his music from Spotify. Figured the high quality streams and higher percentage to artists was worth the increased price. But despite the premium price tag, the experience is generally lacklustre. Video playlists on tv are constantly buffering to the point of being unusable. No google home integration. Playlists, recommended and related track lists and are embarrassingly uninspired and often completely irrelevant. Really want to like this app but the quality of life issues make it really difficult to recommend at this point.

Why is TIDAL taking up 10.7 GB of storage? I have downloaded only a couple of songs, and what are all these files you download… I’m having to reinstall the app once every 2 weeks it’s become such an issue. There are often bugs, and I definitely don’t like the new search. Other than that, I still prefer it over Spotify or any other app. 
Suggestion: Tracks able to be downloaded on Mac/PC

TIDAL may be a winner in the audio quality space according to some, but it is by far the most flawed and least reliable popular music streaming app. Please, for the love of all that is holy, fix the song-forever-loading problem that happens at least three times a day. It is beyond frustrating. I'm switching back to Apple Music.
