TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound

I got Tidal because my DJ software (DJay pro) stopped supporting Spotify, so I switched to Tidal, the app itself is alright and have had barely any issues with it…they now charge an extra £9 a month just so I can use my music in my mixes, so that’s £19 I’ll be paying, not worth it in my opinion

Been using TIDAL for years, and I love the mobile iPhone app. But it lacks the ability for it to be used properly. With Apple Watch and Apple CarPlay its virtually impossible to go through your albums because you can’t set anything up alphabetically. Since the new update on 14/08/2024 a new home screen is practically useless. The recently played section doesn’t update. The new layout is just awful. Not practical at all or easy on the eye.

Only reason I downloaded this app and changed music provider from Spotify was because they Spotify stopped being used with my djay app and tidal become available to use instead. It was fine for a couple years until now! Now tidal want an extra £9 per month on top of the £10.99 subscription to be able to use with dj applications!!! That’s a crazy amount! Maybe ok for professional djs who use daily, but for hobby djs who maybe use once or twice a month takes the mic.

I listen to HiRes music including lossless files and Dolby Atmos with a DAC and hi Res ear phones and Bang and Olufsen ear buds The sound and music choice available on Tidal is unparalleled

I have had Tidal for less than a week and after some teething problems with my streamer set-up I have been very pleased with Tidal. I presently use it with my iphone as my streamer is less than a week old. I have already ditched my previous music platform in favour of the more polished Tidal platform which offers superb quality. It was recommended by a musician friend and has lived up to expectations. Thank you Tidal! Michael Richards

I have Alexa... and I wanted to connect tidal to my Alexa BUT it's lowkey annoying because I need to do via Bluetooth... the reason why I find that annoying is because if I'm playing a game and I have it connect Tidal via Bluetooth through my iPad (while also talking to my friend on phone) this would pause my music and its frustrating... but the sound quality is good tho! I went through guides and allegedly it's only on America (sigh...a bit annoying and a push over if you say so) if you try to connect Tidal to Alexa... I hope they see this and make it available for every country because I want better quality music and of course Spotify does the job but not high quality..

I am playing Tidal through my Iphone and as soon as my wife also connects and plays tidal, the music stops and says you are playing through IOS, press resume to continue playing. We both keep pressing resume but neither can play at same time. I am paying for a family subscription, is it the failt of Tidal or Apple ❓
