### *---- "Quality decent, but some killer problems"
Good offerings, and good quality. But everything is being downsampled to 44.1 KHz - tried an iPhone (via cam connection kit) and iPad (USB C) into a Chord Mojo 2 DAC, and it’s only ever seeing 44.1, regardless of Tidal’s specified sample frequency. Identical setups with Apple Music are being seen by the DAC at the specified frequency.

Also, confused by the pricing.  I see $10.99 advertised, including on Tidal’s website. But when I started the free trial (via the app) it’s telling me $13.99 per month.

Unless I can get some clarity on both these issues downsampling problem, and misleading pricing, there is zero chance I’ll be a Tidal user by the time the free trial is over…

### **--- "It’s like they go out of their way to make it dumber & buggier."
Issues:
1: Trying to favorite a track often stops playback & makes me restart the track.
2: Downloads seem to panic at some set of circumstances; mine has been snagged with 87 tracks to download for a week or two this time. 
3: Also; whatever set of circumstances the app needs to actually download tracks remains elusive and frustrating. It doesn’t seem to happen at all if the app is not open & on-screen (and of course we all wanna just sit there staring at our music app while it downloads rather than doing other things with our phones).
4: “Downloads” is only semi-helpful anyways since the app tends to lag hugely on trying to open downloads if it doesn’t have an active data connection. 
5: Tidal’s apparent response to this is to create “offline mode” which kicks on automatically but doesn’t turn off unless i tell it to, which is really just an extra layer of frustration. 
6: Library management is also a nightmare as tracks regularly seem to fall out of their library; often needing only to be found & saved again, but making using their service far more effort than it should ever be. 

I’m with Tidal mostly because they pay artists better than their main competitors, but if they can’t get their software to function without constantly wrestling it into functioning they’re not likely to keep  users. Id love to tell everyone to go with Tidal but I can’t recommend their user experience to anyone.

I like that it tracks my monthly listening and is easy to find the most popular singles of the artist and I like the tailored recommendations and making my playlist. I would love if it allowed me to always share with Instagram but also if it had the background video like spot*fy does it makes it more aesthetically pleasing and artistic when sharing music.

You need to get rid of your AI-generated playlists, and replace that whole space with a search for public user-generated playlists. Get rid of AI-algorithmic suggestions altogether. PLEASE. I promise every single music consumer in the world is absolutely sick of algorithms, we want to discover new music organically and socially. If you do this, i swear everyone will ditch whatever music platform they are currently using and switch to Tidal. It would be a GREAT marketing campaign. Please consider this advice, take it for a spin, run some surveys…i’m begging.

If you are looking to use the DJ Extension then signing up with App Store subscription makes this impossible, you have to file a claim with Apple Support for a refund and you have to open a support ticket with Tidal to have the Apple Account disassociated with your Tidal account. Terrible user experience, extremely inconvenient, please do better Tidal team this is just bad.

### ****- "Not perfect but will be switching from amazon"
Still trying to work out how Tiday plays with bluesound OS.   “Suggested songs” and “lyrics” function do not seem to work with native Tidal within bluesound OS.   I’m not sure if it’s a bluesound issue or tidal issue, but to be fair those functions for Amazon music also do not seem to work on bluesound.   Also, the handoff between phone and the bluesound seems strange.   It will be playing on the iPhone through tidal connect, but when I open my phone up again the track will seem to be playing through the native app instead.   

Otherwise, I think the algorithms and song suggestions work much better in tidal compared to Amazon music.   I feel like I’m constantly listening to the same 50 songs with Amazon music, but with Tidal I’ll always get to listen to a broader range and mix of tracks and genres.   I do wish there were more artist information and background with tidal, though.   Amazon music spotlights seems to do a better job of this.   Lastly, I think Amazon music has a very slight edge in fidelity.   Listening to same tracks back to back, there’s maybe a tad more soundstage with Amazon music, but not enough of a difference to make me miss anything (I’m listening through bluesound nano via toslink, to Hegel H190, to cabasse Murano alto).   

All in all, the broader range of suggested tracks and artists tips the scale for me to switch to Tidal.
