Toot! for Mastodon

I like the animations and the quirkiness of it all. But I wish features of the web version of Mastodon would be included, the glaring one being the missing Media tab.

In my opinion the best Mastodon client on iOS, period. I love it.

Au niveau features c’est le client iOS le plus récent et compatible avec les mises à jour de Mastodon, cependant les choix d’UI sont hasardeux avec une roue en bas à droite inutilisable car elle interfère avec les geste les d’iOS, des icônes cheloues (une trompette ?) et surtout le replacement des icônes sous chaque post par du texte coloré et donc plus visible que le contenu des posts, ce qui rend la TL difficile à suivre. Ce qui ne serait pas un problème si ça pouvait se configurer mais le développeur est contre les icônes dans la TL (par contre en bas ça va… avec une trompette). Le système de suivi de thread est sympa mais un peu gadget. Pire, l’UI n’existe qu’en anglais, un comble quand on veut mettre du texte partout à la place d’icônes. Vu que c’est une application payante et au vu de ces défauts d’ergonomie, je déconseille.

I paid for this but could not use it. Requires an identification I can not get. But I found a way somewhere to get a mastodon account. Regret to have paid for Toot! !!!

Hope the dev will come back or give the lead to another great person. Really love this app.

Toot! is the most polished and finished app for Mastodon, and is packed with delightful features. I’m a recent convert from Twitter, and must remark that even the Twitter app is insipid compared to Toot! No bugs, no missing features. 5 stars without a shred of doubt.

Great app full of nice animations. You can follow timelines of other instances without having an account, which is awesome fo discovery.

It’s really easy to use, and when you have several accounts, it’s very useful to switch between them like a tourniquet. I use this apps since several month now and I don’t mind using another anymore. It took me few times to get used to write the CW under the toot but now it’s ok haha. The only thing I’d love to see in the future is a quick access of the instances’ emojis when you write a toot.
