Now that I’ve returned to Luxembourg—my home country—I wanted to migrate my account there. To my surprise, Trade Republic told me they don’t support account migration between countries. Instead of offering a solution, they gave me a two-week notice before permanently closing and deleting my account. What’s even more frustrating is that I’ve now been informed I won’t be able to open a new account with them in Luxembourg either. So I lose access to my investments and my history, just because I moved back home? That’s not how a modern, customer-friendly broker should operate.
