Translate lets you quickly and easily translate your voice and text between languages. Designed to be the best and easiest-to-use app for translating phrases, conversations and even the text around you. Translate combines high-quality translations with an intuitive design, so that translating is quick and easy.

Features:
• Text translation — Text translation is fast, simple and intuitive. All supported languages include their keyboards so you don't have to download or manually switch between them
• Dictionary — Tap a word in a completed translation to see the definition in the built-in dictionary
• Translate camera — Translate text around you using the camera view. Translate text in real-time, pause the view to zoom in for a closer look or translate text in photos from your Photos library
• Auto Translate — Translate speech without tapping the microphone button in a conversation. Auto Translate automatically detects when you start speaking and when you stop, so the other person can just respond
• Voice translation — Translate your voice from one language to another. The app detects which of the two selected languages you're speaking and provides the translated text and audio in the other language
• Conversations — In the Conversation tab, tap the single microphone button to speak, and automatic language detection will transcribe what you say in chat bubbles on the correct side of the conversation
• Face-to-face view — Change the conversation view when chatting face to face so that each person can see the conversation from their own side
• Live Translation with AirPods — Hear, hands-free, in your preferred language with AirPods to help you bridge language barriers in person
• On-device mode — Enable a fully offline experience in Translate and for downloaded languages. Keep your translations private without needing to turn off your internet connection
• Favourites — For phrases you use frequently and want to keep, save them to your Favourites for easy access later

The app has recently stopped working properly on my phone, it had previously worked fine through my data data service or connected to Wi-Fi, it only works now by downloading the required languages which takes time, as well as space I don’t have in my phone

Tbh what can u expect its a built in iPhone app🙄

It translates word for word so not very good if your in a casual setting. 

Camera translation feature is useful at times.

I’m Irish and working very hard to improve and bring back my home country’s native language ( Irish/ Gaeilge) I’m on Duolingo  and learning Irish in school so I would LOVE  to see Irish on there!!!!

The recent update of this app has made it more cumbersome and less useful. 
It is less well able to understand spoken French than the previous version and does not allow corrections of words. Before if the app mistook what was said it was possible to make a correction by deleting or re typing a word. Now you have to re-enter the whole phrase manually with the correct spelling.

I like the app I really do but if they are adding languages I would really want to see Irish/gaeilge up there since it’s my second language and it’s a nice language (I’m Irish btw don’t know why it matters but why not)

It’s alright. It does the bare minimum but it’s really annoying with the camera feature. The translations block the actual words and then it doesn’t translate properly. I use it for French sometimes, but a lot of the time I just use Google translate. 

Also please add more languages!! As an Irish person in Higher Level, sometimes I need to translate stuff from the textbook before we start questions, and ITS NOT THERE. And since you need the Google app for the camera translation, this is all I have.

This app doesn't have a button for quickly switching input and output language like Google translate. Please just put a button between languages or anywhere else. I constantly change input and output languages and this app seems not usable for me.
